What sort of companies sponsor race teams?
I’ve never dived into the whole sponsorship side of motorsport to an huge extent, so for anyone who has i only have the questions; the title, how does sponsoring a race team benefit the company other than the exposure, and how deep does the connection get between a manufacturer and company ( for example Ferrari having a sponsor in f1 and not WEC) how does the relationship work?

How do I get into social media management in Motorsport?
I’ve been a formula 1 fan for some time, and I’ve struggled to figure out what career I’d like to get into for a couple years now but I finally think I’ve found something I’d enjoy. I’ve been taking a few courses for social media marketing, but I’m kind of stumped on what else I should be focusing on. I’ve been learning to edit videos, and thinking about making an account to post on and try to build as some form of practice. There’s also an internship for Formula E that starts applications in October, but I’m not sure if I will be ready by then to apply. Does anyone have an advice for getting into this field? I finally feel like I’ve found my calling, and I don’t want to keep myself from achieving something that I could potentially achieve just because I’ve started to feel lost on what to do next.

Dakar | More than half the cars in this years Dakar Rally are Made in SA
South Africa has a proud heritage in the Dakar Rally and if the 2025 car entry list is anything to go by, 2025 will be another vintage Dakar year for Southern African entries in the Car category. With fifty-five percent of the Car entries designed, built and developed in the country, and a large contingent of cars, drivers and crews racing too, South Africa quite literally owns the Dakar.

How’s the community feel about demolition derby?
Demolition derby, not banger racing. I’m not sure if it’s commonplace anywhere else apart from the US, Canada, and Australia. As a promoter and driver, I’m always super curious to get outside opinions of this sport.
Demo derby has been going through massive changes the last decade or so. Very rarely is a person able to take a car, do bare minimum, and run it for decent money. $50,000 builds for $100,000 team shows requires a lot of knowledge and time. Is there a place for this in the Motorsports realm, or will we forever only be viewed as a bunch of rednecks?

What are the most interesting series at the moment?
Been away from motorsports for a number of years. In the past, I mostly enjoyed WRC, Formula E, GT3, WEC, WTCC, but also F1, DTM and NASCAR. I want to follow one or two series this next year. Any suggestions?

Anyone else remember Lotus?
Lotus used to be such a force in F1—7 Constructors' titles, 6 Drivers' titles, absolute legends like Jim Clark and Emerson Fittipaldi. It’s been ages since they left, but now they’re killing it in the EV market with Lotus Tech and solid Q3 numbers. Anyone else think it’d be awesome to see them back in motorsport? Spend some them money and back to F1, Formula E, whatever—just feels like their name belongs on a grid somewhere.

Is it possible for me to get into motorsports?
I am 21, disabled, cannot work, have yet to find out if I can even drive yet, but I'm confident I can pull it off. Only dream is to get into motorsports, but I am kinda lost here. I guess my biggest questions are: where do I start, and, is it even possible for someone like me to get into any kind of motorsports program, even if it's something small and won't pay?
