Discussion I love having a guest leaderboard
My brother (blue) is slowly coming closer to my times, I’ve taught him everything he knows, but not everything I know. My dad is getting better every time he visits and it’s fun watching all our friends try to beat each others lap times. I have a running offer of $100 to any friends that can beat my lap.

Other my first sim racing injury
turn one at VIR, two wide, i stomp my race spec birks into my loadcell utilizing all 200kg its rated for (im a beast). my race spec birk clad foot blasts my poor brake pedal out of my wood rig proving how powerful i am. i hear the all too familiar sound of a hole being punched into drywall, my race spec clad birk foot collapses under the pressure and folds into my clutch pedal. boys i am limping right now what the hell i was just playing a game
obligatory rig set up in last pic. happy holidays! ill be back iracing, i will be back.

Discussion iRacing isn’t realistic?
Disclaimer: I am nowhere near an expert nor do I claim to be. I am not trying to troll and this is not meant to be a trash on iRacing post but a truly genuine question.
I am relatively new to sim racing having set up my first rig this calendar year. I started in ACC but switched over to iRacing and have enjoyed my time in the Mazda MX-5 and GR86 series since then. I’ve tried other sims including AMS2, AC, WRC, and F1’23 but to me iRacing felt the best with no actual real world racing to compare it to.
Whenever I see threads discussing the “best” sim though I almost always see iRacing mentioned as having the best multiplayer experience but not the most realistic with some bashing its realism and graphics more than others. The thing about these comments though is they never mention which ones they think are better but instead just bash iRacing.
So this is my question; if iRacing isn’t realistic, what is? If my interest was 100% which sim feels the most like the real car from FFB to how the cars drive what game should I play? Bonus points if mods aren’t required as I technically have the knowledge to mod but prefer a game I can just download and go.

Rigs Got it working by late Christmas night. A lot to learn and do over time, but at least I'm started!
I need to get some washers for the monitor VESA screws, then I'll try to get them lined up better. I'll spend some time doing cable management, probably get a table or shelf for the PC, and move everything back towards the wall.
I feel pretty comfortable with the positioning of the wheel and pedals, but may tweak them over time. I'll probably move the shifter forward a bit, too.
Near term future additions will likely include a keyboard and mouse tray, and maybe a DIY bezel free solution. If I decide that it will get some use I may spring for a handbrake at some point. Would love to work out a dual use solution some day for a flight stick and throttle. Long term goals might include some haptics.
Any thoughts or recommendations on my physical setup?

Rigs My new birthday rig
Hey guys! I’d like to share my new rig. I got it as a birthday present from my wife last week, and I threw a Civic SI seat on it so it’s comfortable and adjustable to play on.
This is a dream coming true! I came from a Thrustmaster TMX with a hand-made wooden stand I made that I sold years ago as I didn’t have the time to enjoy. The difference between a belt-driven wheel and a higher end DD is wild. And I finally can enjoy some racing again 😊
I currently use a monitor arm to share my monitor between my pc and the rig, but it’s been working great!
The setup is ASR3 with a Moza R9 wheel, Moza sequential shifter, and the Moza SRP Pedals. The monitor is a 40” ultrawide flat IPS 155hz.

Rigs T300RS GT with Logitech GDF Shifter and AliExpress analog USB handbrake on PS5.
I upgraded my old G920 (with rasolut1on) to a T300RS GT mainly for GT7 and PSVR2 and wanted to share the result in case others are in a similar position.
Took a bit of effort but I managed to get it all working perfectly via custom firmware on an RP2040 Zero and the DIN6 I²C connector on the wheel base. The handbrake even supports all analog levels in GT7 without any modifications to the wheel, shifter or handbrake.
The shifter also supports changing from H-Pattern to Sequential by pushing down the reverse switch and quickly selecting 3rd then 5th. An RGB LED shows the current mode (blue for sequential, green for H-Pattern) I used a wrist band for when in sequential mode to centre the shifter which is easily removed for H-Pattern mode.
I just need to 3D print a nice case and tidy up the wiring a bit and I'm done.

Rigs Just got G29 (my thoughts)
This is my first post on Reddit so feels a bit weird but ok, I just decided to share my thoughts here
Today I got my G29 (I used to play on a controller) and hopped on F1 23, and that felt nice and weird at the same time, is this ok that I was much slower than I was on a controller?
The personal problem I have is that I can’t feel how much the brake pedal is pushed!! I guess that comes with practice but for now this is hell of a torture, especially while trying to trailbrake

Rigs Ordered a Fanatec DD Pro and they sent me a DD Extreme, merry Christmas to me I guess
Huge upgrade from my g29, I thought it was weird they didn’t send me pedals with it. Was buying V3’s from a buddy anyways so wasn’t too mad. I didn’t notice until my buddy mentioned it to me when he came over as I was setting it up.

Question Total lengthSim Rig?
I have the possibilty for a sim rig in a very limited spot. From the wall to the wardrobe I have 1,60 m to mybe 1,65 m of space. I am also quite tall (1,94 m). Do you think, a Sim Rig would fit into there?
Maybe some tall people here please could give me their Sim Rigs total length?
Thanks in advance.
