Happy Holidays! Happy holidays, r/Formula1!
Hi everyone!
It's that time of the year again! The 2024 season has come to a close. What seemed to start as the Verstappening 2.0 quickly turned out into one of the most exciting seasons in recent history don't mention the war 2021
Dominating wins, exciting midfield battles and epic comeback drives. First wins, first points and final races. Chaos, fun, emotion and drama. Stars bursting onto the scene and ungraceful exits. This season truly had it all.
2025 has all the ingredients for an even more thrilling season. We have the most stable set of regulations and tons of great things to look forward to. Can Max Verstappen make it five in a row? Will 2025 be the year Lando Norris does manage to beat him? Can Lewis Hamilton or Charles Leclerc throw a spanner in the works, or will Ferrari turn into a 2007 McLaren? Will Alpine present another 100-race plan? How will Hulkenberg and Ocon fare at their new teams? How good is Alex Albon exactly now that he has a really fast team mate in Carlos Sainz? Which rookies will impress and which ones will disappoint? Can Red Bull make it through the year without another scandal? Will Stroll crash less than 5 times? Long story short: Plenty of things to look forward to in 2025
But before we roll into 2025, we have a bunch of holidays to celebrate. Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, whatever you may celebrate, or even if you don't celebrate, make the most of these days. Spend them with your friends, family and loved ones. Enjoy delicious food, have fun and play some games. Have a great time and make memories that will last a lifetime!
So on behalf of the r/Formula1 team:
Happy holidays!

Photo Australian Grand Prix Track Walk Promotion
Hi Everyone Hope you’ve all had a great Christmas. Coming to you from Albert Park on Boxing Day at the start finish line to advise I’ll be beginning my track walks for the 2025 Australian Grand Prix on January 19th. Feels good to be the first race of the season again. As you can see the Fangio stand and the T1 hospitality suite are already up which is quite early for Aus GP preparations. See you all January 19th

Discussion How stupid would a minimum paint rule be?
I think 2024 liveries stand out as the absolute worst of all time from a visual perspective. If there was a rule stipulating a minimum paint mass- or % of exterior covered, how stupid would this be? Would teams find a way to skirt around it?
If we did have such a rule, I think we would have a much more vibrant and distinguishable grid.
I have this idea, but I’m not sure what the flaws and backlash of such a rule would look like - would love to hear from you guys.

Discussion Trip to Modena and Maranello
Hello, My wife and I are planning a trip to the Modena and Maranello museums soon. I know there have been many posts about visiting these museums, but I’m unsure how up-to-date the information is, and I still have a few questions.
How do we get from Modena to Maranello and back? We’ll be traveling by train from Bologna to Modena and back. I’ve seen that there’s a shuttle bus on the museum website, but the timetable seems a bit inconvenient. Are there any better options for getting between the two museums? And if there's a bus between them, how do we get the tickets?
Can we visit both museums in one day, or would you recommend dedicating a full day to each?
I read in another post that someone recommended taking a guide during the visit, but I didn’t see this option when booking tickets online. Is it possible to hire a guide on-site?
I’ve never used a simulator before—not even on a PC. Would the F1 simulator experience still be worth it, or would it likely be frustrating since I’m a complete beginner?
Are there any must-visit spots near the museums? This could be anything—great places to eat, nice walking areas, or other attractions in the vicinity.
Are there any must-buy souvenirs from either museum, or are there better shops nearby? Is photography allowed in the museums, and are there any specific spots that are particularly great for photos?
Sorry for so many questions. Thanks in advance for your advice and tips!
