I noticed "What supermoto should I buy" gets posted a lot, so I made this
I tried to take into account the cost of buying rims and legalizing the models that need it but at the same time keep it simple. Feel free to suggest additions/fixes
Edit: i've edited this a lot
Edit: changed the DRZ picture to mine ;) thanks for the sticky!

New to Supermotos….
….although I’ve raced dirtbikes and super bikes for awhile now, but I was going to do an endurance mini series on go-kart tracks. The max capacity is 135cc 4T or 65cc 2T air cooled. Honestly, I was thinking a Honda CRF125F for the ease of pit stops and my familiarity with 4T dirtbikes. Would the big wheel’s extra suspension travel help much with a super moto setup? Though I’m totally open to other bike suggestions!

CPI SM 50
I got this this CPI SM 50 and it works fine when warm but when i try to use it after letting it sit overnight (unheated garage 2°C) after starting it in neutral and then shifting to 1st while clutch pulled in it stalls. If I let the engine warm up for a few minutes or put it in 1st while keeping it at higher rpm (so the engine doesnt stall) it warmes up and works fine. I tried adjusting the clutch cable, it barely engages when fully let out but it still stalls when cold. What could cause this? How do you fix this?

Alternative to air filter oil
I'm based here in the Philippines and there is absolutely no air filter oil in sight even online. My question now is what could be the best alternative to air filter oil?

Should I trade my 2005 zx6r for this ysf450
What the title says. I almost never go above like 8k rpm and my parents don't like it either. I feel like I would have more fun on the sumo around town and up on the trails since it comes with dirt tires too. Just would like some input from people who own them. Thanks

aftermarket bodywork for Husky Sumo
Does anyone sell aftermarket bodywork in different colors for the FS450?
Seems like dozens of suppliers for the moto-x bikes body work but nothing for the Sumo bikes?

My WR125X (do y'all have any advice to change some parts to make it look cooler?)
Here's my 2014 Yamaha WR125X, I've bought it about a month ago and I like it but I think that if I change something on it, it will look way cooler. I was maybe thinking of changing the graphics on some white and blue colours. Tell me what you think😁

SMEC 2025 Race Schedule
The Supermoto East Coast schedule just dropped. There’s a few new venues at the Herrin Compound and Quaker City. Plus, we have USAir again! It might be the best track in the country. Come check it out and throw down some laps!

Hello fellow enthusiasts.. here is my SM build
23’ KTM 690 SMC R
Originally planned on keeping the bike stock but plans changed a bit… using a slip on i found off a german seller site with the oem headers had to be welded and fabricated custom. Installed the evo auto tuner, 16t front then 39t in the rear intended for better highway riding and a DNA stage 2 filter kit. The bike runs great at around 11k miles, its insanely quick and the gearing allows for a lot of options. The muffler has a big city thunder baffle and is packed.. its still pretty loud but so fun on the road engine breaking and rev limiters sound insane because of the tuner. Please feel free to ask questions if im missing anything

Should i get a supermoto?
Hi! Im right now 15 but when i turn 16 i will get a licence do ride a 125cc bike. Currently im thinking of buying a 2007 Derbi senda sm 125 4t. Usually supermotos are pretty expensive here. This is pretty cheap right now because the seller wants do get rid of it fast. But i have heard that supermotos arent Comfortable for long rides. But i wouldnt even drive it that much. Maybe sometimes 3h max to my grandparents house. Is it worth it? And the other bike im considering is a sportbike yamaha yzf 125r.

About to purchase a 2024 FE 501s. How does it compare to a CRF300L?
I'm very seriously considering purchasing a 2024 FE 501s for a great deal (approx. $8500-$8600 OTD) but I have a few questions.
I'm coming off a CRF300L. For anyone that's ridden both, how do the vibrations and general road manners compare? How do they compare on the highway?
I plan on using this as a do-it-all bike, but I don't intend on doing super long trips on the highway (maybe an hour or two <6 times a year) or need to rely on it for commuting. Although I will likely commute on it fairly often for fun. It will also be subjected to 15-35 minute highway rides fairly often.
How long do you guys typically wait to do top ends? I'd like to hear from people that do both supermoto and dualsport. I plan on doing quite a bit of both.
As far as conversions go, do you think it requires more than the new stock suspension and a 320mm floating front to be good? I've heard people say older models were too soft stock, but the new stuff is way stiffer I hear.
Before anyone suggests it, yeah, I've considered the 701/690, but unfortunately where I am the FE 501s is a good $3000-$5000 less expensive. My primary motivations for swapping from the 300 were to save weight and increase power, as well. The 701 does not fit both of those bills.

Should I trade my 2017 crf450r for fs450
Hello everyone, I have a question. I was wondering if I should trade my crf450r supermoto converted bike for a fs450? I am a semi competitive supermoto racer. My crf450r is requiring more upgrades like a swingarm and new triple trees. I was thinking it might be easier to sell it and go buy a fs450 for racing. What are ya'll thoughts

125 Supermoto recommendations?
I'm kinda overwhelmed by those people saying a bike is bad while others say it's good. This happens to every bike I was thinking about to get next year. Like some people say "never get a fantic" while others say "buy a fantic". I'm just really confused and there's no one actually saying why they like it or not. So I'm hoping u guys could give me constructive recommendations and actually tell me why u would recommend it. Tyy!
