What truck should I buy? megathread
Any posts pertaining to car buying suggestions or advice belong in this weekly megathread. A fresh thread will be posted every Monday and posts auto sorted by new. A few other subreddits worth checking out that will help your car buying experience are /r/WhatCarShouldIBuy, /r/UsedCars and /r/AskCarSales. [Everyday Driver](https://www.everydaydriver.com/) may also be helpful.
Make/Model-specific questions should be asked on Make/Model-specific subreddits.
- For those providing suggestions: Facts are ideal in this thread, especially when trying to help out a new truck buyer. Please help out buyers with sources and reasoning for your suggestions.
- For those asking for help, be sure to thank those who take the time to offer you advice (especially those who lead you to a purchase.) A follow up thank you and the knowledge that their advice led to a purchase is a very warm fuzzy feeling.

Effective immediately, any posts intended solely to shit on someone else's vehicle will be removed.
Incredibly, incredibly tired of these low effort posts. No, I don't care that it makes you feel superior to others. No, I don't care about the 37 jokes about the size of the driver's genetalia.
The internet is already a giant cesspool of negativity. Don't add to it.
I've totally read the rules, I promise saw this beauty the other day. are semi’s welcome?

Why does every truck in Argentina have roll bars?
There are a LOT of Hiluxes and Nissan pickup trucks here and I swear that like 95% of every truck that I see has roll bars on them. The difference is very apparent coming from the U.S. where this is not a very common accessory. Does anybody know why this is? Is this a common thing in Latin America in general?

Discussion / question Why do Hummers still go for so much?
I really dig the early 2000s GM stuff, recently been looking at a handful of Hummers. Seems like anything with less than 150k miles is over $10k. I could see the H3/H3T's with the 5.3 going for that, but even basic I5 or I6 models are more. The H2 is can see, getting either a 6.0 or 6.2 is pretty sweet. Was it just low sales numbers=rarity=higher prices?

I need lots o help with my '95 sonoma
Moral of the story. She blew 2 cylinders. I've been STRUGGLING to find a new engine for her HELL even mabye have money to get an new engine. Can't decide whether to scrap her or fix her or sell her. The problem i run into is the fact that I like modded/moldable cars and i have a VERY specific preference about the car i need to drive so it's been even HARDER to find a new car to fit my need. So idfk what to even do. I've been so stressed and upturnt and all over the place mostly boiling down to the fact i JUST ONLY bought this truck LESS THAN 3 MONTHS AGO and shes dead. Fuck December. Fuck christmas.

Why does my F-250 suck
Looking into replacing this big girl. 2008 F250 reg cab long box, 5.4L v8 and MANUAL tranny. Weighing options of wanting better fuel economy but still needing to tow (5000lbs horse and trailer) in BC (mountains). Was considering the hemi v8 for power as I’m wanting to step down to a 1/2 ton due to funds and this being my daily driver. But when I’m comparing specs, my truck WAY underperforms. Fuelly averages 13mpg, my truck says it’s getting average 12mpg but when I leave the city and drive the highway it’s more like 7mpg (3-4 if I’m towing). It also apparently has 360 ft-lb torque but towing uphill I can only do in 2nd gear and past 4000RPMs she ain’t happy (sometimes smells like burning even). So on paper, the hemi is only slightly better but is it going to be just as terrible in real life? The nearest town is 110km so care more about hwy mpg than city.

Edit this flair and make it your own Help with what size tires I can fit
I just wanna know what size tires I can fit on stock suspension and no spacers without rubbing. I’m probably gonna put some all terrains on the stock wheels for a more aggressive look. Any tire recommendations are welcome.

Looking for Build suggestions
Got 3 inch lift and 2 inch spacers that I’m putting on next week, going to color match the mirrors but leave the chrome at the top of them . Both bumpers are color matched already. Black bed cover on it. Just wondering what people think and I’d love suggestions.

Discussion / question Help with build options...
I'm currently in a 2017 Ford F-150. I've tinted the windows, added mud flaps, remote start and led tailgate lighting so far. I like my stock wheels, but also like aftermarket. Any recommendations on how to keep building around stock wheels without looking tacky?
