High Quality Only ✊🏽Milwaukee tenants—We when fight, we win! Tenants of Milwaukee’s biggest slumlord win major concessions from legal settlement.
💪🏽Milwaukee tenants score a win over big landlord Joe Berrada with a civil settlement. As the city’s largest landlord, Berrada has wreaked havoc on Black, working-class tenants on the northside through badly maintained buildings, illegal fines, and mass eviction filings. He has established himself as the city’s biggest slumlord in the eyes of many tenants.Despite Berrada’s money and lawyers, tenants fought. For years, they spoke out and organized with their neighbors for maintenance and repairs and their right to live in dignity.
This win is a glimpse of what we can do when we fight together! When tenants, working class and poor people come together, we can win dignified housing as a human right! ✊🏽

Thoughts on this YouTube video 'The political spectrum is a myth'
Sorry if this is the wrong place to submit a video link The political spectrum is a myth - YouTube but this video has been bothering me. Apparently the only reason he made this video was because he was called a commie/Marxist/socialist and he says that he's not and why calling yourself left or right is wrong. He gives no real evidence, calls the democratic party left which is hilarious, and ends the video by telling us to agree to disagree with people from different ideologies (which again is hilarious when some issues are basically if you support human rights or not), to not watch news at all and basically promote centrism... Also, he doesn't talk about capitalism at all. It's disappointing how many people in the comments agree with his centrist message...
What are your thoughts? Oh and also I watch such videos sometimes just to see where people are with their political ideas, it's interesting.

High Quality Only Why do liberals and conservatives have such a hard time about understanding Marxist class theory and instead think of class by income and think the Soviets and the Chinese killed by income (including killing the “middle class”) instead of killing employers and landlords?
It’s the holidays and my anti-communist liberal uncle made this error in our yearly debate. And why do liberals believe this? It confuses me.

Anti-Fascism i have a neo-nazi classmate
this classmate of mine has been a satanist and an atheist for a while now but recently just a few months ago he’s been telling everybody that he’s christian and has been hanging out with fascist people 2-3 years older than him. We were friends before he became a nazi and insulted my dead relative and after that i just thought that blocking him and ignoring him would be the best option. since then he’s been trying to get on my good side, basically licking out my ass. A couple of times i’ve confronted him about it, calling him a fascist c##t etc. he’s also showing obvious signs of racism, homophobia, transphobia and antisemitism, but denies everything. he’s also been seen making swastika graffities and telling our classmates how much he hates gay and jewish people.he recently just told my friend that me and him have made peace, which is not true. Should i confront him about it or should i continue ignoring him? edit: thank you very much to everyone who liked and forwarded my post and most of all thank you to everyone who wrote about the topic in the comments, everyone helped with various solutions. I was able to talk to very nice, helpful and understanding people!

Do you think the Soviet Union’s dissolution was set in motion the second Stalin died?
Nikita’s revisionism, the Sino-Soviet split and Gorbachev’s reforms all stem from a reaction to his death.
Mao was right and China was bound to become the leader of the Socialist World from that point on.

Preserving Capitalism Through Welfare Programs
Welfare programs are frequently employed as mechanisms to sustain the capitalist system by addressing its most glaring symptoms—poverty, inequality, and social unrest—without fundamentally altering its structural foundations. While these programs provide immediate relief to the working class, they often function as tools of pacification, designed to mitigate revolutionary potential and stabilize the system rather than address the root causes of economic and social inequality. This dynamic helps capitalism persist by suppressing dissent and maintaining the status quo.

Who are the most powerful people in the world? Who are the real decision makers of the ruling class of the empire?
I'm asking this to better understand the nature of the enemy. There is the idea that even big capitalists merely respond to the incentives of the system, and are essentially powerless to act in a way other than they do. But I don't think everything is inevitable and predetermined. People are making decisions and shaping our world system and I am curious which people are able to have the greatest impact. Are some capitalist sectors more influential than others? (Maybe finance, energy, arms, tech, etc.) There are internal contradictions between factions of the ruling class. Should we consider the people selected by the capitalist class as a whole to represent their interests as leaders of the ruling class? Which parts of government are the most powerful? Is it the mid tier bureaucracy of the Pentagon, State Dept, Fed Reserve, etc. where mass politics can not even slightly disturb the status quo? Is it with powerful lobbyists like Leonard Leo, Chairman of the board of directors of the Federalist Society? Or is it the scientists and thought leaders that shape how the empire actually operates?

Is moving out of the US acceptable at this point?
I have a lot of thoughts here I haven't quite been able to organize coherently so I'm going to try to keep this as short as possible.
While the recent election to some extent left me disappointed in my home country, I was honestly not surprised at all. I think the real impetus behind me wanting to do this is reading up on the history of the US and how propagandized the masses here are in favor of capitalism and imperialism, as well as interacting with a lot of "socialists" here. The more Americans I interact with and the more I read about the history of America as a country, the more I become pessimistic about the possibility of Socialism in the US. My question here isn't so much as where to move to or the practicality of doing so, but if doing so and essentially "leaving the fight behind" would be a moral and/or ethical thing to do - while it certainly hasn't been the norm, I've met so many great people here who are passionate about creating a better world, and as long as I am here, I want to aid in those efforts in whatever way I can, especially given that I can't just pack my bags and leave tomorrow. But at the same time, I can't help but wonder if that level of energy would be better invested elsewhere, and I feel like I'd be of better use to any internationalist, anti-colonial movement if I'm not dead and/or more traumatized than I already am.
Thanks to any comrades who can offer insight on this. Much love.

Political Theory Is this an accurate description of dialectical materialism?
I tried making a figure that combines ideas of other ones of dialectical materialism while also combining other systems of history. Is this accurate? Are there details I should add?

Activism The problem with religion in the United States
So I know my audience for this probably agrees wholeheartedly but I'm hoping this spreads just a little more awareness about the issue and how fast it is growing.
So I live in the Bible Belt, actually it's more referred to as the Bible Belt buckle just because of how strong the churches influence is here, we have a massive issue of our big local churches controlling local politics with no resistance to speak of. So this doesn't really effect my day to day life but once you take it a step higher into the state government it gets to be a more serious issue, when you look at most of if not all of your state Republican lawmakers they have the support of some kind of mega church in the region so again I know not exactly a revelation there but obviously the same extends to the national level so why don't we ever try to put pressure on these massive tax exempt religious organizations that hold huge sway in our politics at virtually every level? We need some form of activism against these groups that really are just corporations posing as houses of god it's very frustrating when you take a step back and realize that these peoples delusions get to influence very important decisions that effect everyone's life as a whole sorry rant over

Discussion Hey folks. Looking for potential recommendations on a lengthy/detailed podcast series or season on the history of Zionism, Israel/Palestine etc? More details in comments.
I’m currently listening to Season 2 of Blowback on the Cuban revolution, and I’m loving the amount of detail and context provided. I’m looking for something with a similar level of depth to sink my teeth into re: the creation of Zionism, the history of apartheid in Palestine, etc etc? Asking here because I’m primarily interested in an anti-imperialist lens on the topic.
Thanks!!

Political Theory Join the revolution
We, as an American populace have nothing to fear but the owning class. Why divide our hard work and beliefs on the stone of orthodoxy. We should, and must, unite under a common ideal of both worker unity and civilian support. The time has come, we wait no longer in the shadows; we unite under the flag of revolution and the song of socialism!!!
