Hello, I’ve had this strange irritations on my hips area for a month now and they don’t seem to go away. I’ve applied some different ointments, but the affected area still seems the same as before, maybe some improvements in the texture (the skin before was granular, now it’s just smooth). I’ve had mononucleosis this summer, it can be a cause of that? Or it’s just some skin irritation that doesn’t seem to go away. I want to mention that they don’t seem itchy, but they are spreading. Btw in the second picture the brown spots are just from my birthmark. Please help.

Hi! I was wondering if anyone notices anything abnormal from my head and brain MRI scans or if they’re completely normal

As per title. I have a sore neck and can remember the crash I’m pretty sure, I think it’s just a little hazy since it all happened so fast. I’ve got a sore neck but don’t remember hitting my head and passing out or waking up. I’m getting headaches and feel dizzy however. I didn’t realise but apparently the witness may have seen me unconscious in the car? Just wondering if this is likely and if I should get it checked out. I told the ambulance I was okay since I didn’t recollect losing consciousness and they checked my vitals and let me go.
Edit: thanks guys for the advice. I’ve started to feel a bit more dizzy and headaches are worse so I will try to get to the hospital this afternoon.

Since I was a kid I’ve always had trouble falling asleep. But now as an adult I have trouble falling asleep AND staying asleep! I’m now a huge light sleeper. Someone whispering down the hallway can wake me up. I’m waking up about every 2 hours. Sometimes it could be from someone simply walking by and making the floor creak other times it could be NOTHING! I’ll wake up and notice no noise and wondering what woke me up. I haven’t had a solid 8 hours in what feels like a decade. Now everyday I’m so damn tired!! All day! I just want to be in bed 24/7. I get chronic migraines so lack of good sleep constantly triggers one.
Anyone experience this? Or have any advice?
Some say antidepressants have helped them with this issue and for context I do have severe anxiety issues and my therapist is begging me to start lexapro but I’m too scared to change my brain chemistry.
Also I have done a sleep study I don’t have sleep apnea. Some ppl always assume this first.

What are some surprising remedies or life hacks you swear by but aren’t commonly known? For example, drinking cold water to stop hiccups.

For context, I'm 15 years old and around 5'10. I live in Northern EU, so I often feel short compared to my peers in HS. I'm thinking of wearing 2 inch shoe lifts to give me a height boost to 6'0. I won't wear them for long, at most 15 minutes a day (out of which I'd walk in them for 10 minutes). However, I'm worried they'll stunt my growth in the future.

(context provided if u want, question is at the bottom) i’ve been dealing with a handful of issues (malabsorption/debilitating fatigue) and been on meds/supplements for it, but found out the only one that causes me issues is vitamin d. the other meds/vitamins rly help (since i was deficient). but… i cannot tolerate any form of vitamin d whatsoever. low doses as well.
symptoms: tingly feet, muscle aches, joint pains, confusion/brain fog, insomnia
he ordered a cmp for calcium and i asked at the appointment if “he would recomment testing my pth as well, since i was reading about intolerance to vitamin D” … he didn’t respond and moved onto the next topic. he honestly seemed annoyed to see me back in his office for a scheduled checkup but idk maybe it was a stressful day.
well 2 weeks later and i’m still very interested in getting this tested since i’ve been symptomatic for months but i’m worried i’ll phrase it wrong / get fired as a patient for asking.
“hello dr. [name], i was wondering if a pth workup could be beneficial and recommended? i’ve had the aforementioned symptoms for quite some time and i’d like to look into it as the vitamin d exacerbates them.”
my hematologist honestly listens more and orders tests when i mention them (if she finds them beneficial). i’m not sure if i should just bring this up to her? she told me to contact her if i had any concerns but idk if this situation would count.

I’ve spent the last 4 days in the hospital due to jaundice symptoms. I was terrified because I thought my liver was inflamed . After 2 Ultrasounds , a MRI , and lots of blood and urine tests , I am completely healthy. Doctors chalked it up to over taking ashwaganda. I was taking 1200-1600MG while intermittent fasting, strenuous exercise and during a stressful time (Finals) I’m glad to be home but another expensive lesson I’ve had to learn early. Take care of your body and listen to it.

Hello. This isn't urgent or anything but I noticed my finger has this "dip" to it. Google tells me mallet finger. I believe that's what it is to a extent. I didn't get it injured like by sports or anything but it's started to hurt at the top crease which is why I noticed it to begin with. Should I buy a splint on Amazon so this doesn't stay permanent or should it go away on its own? The pain is very little. I wanted to ask this in r/askdocs but I can't post pictures. Maybe my finger had this dip to begin with but coupled with the pain it's probably not the case. As well as the fact that my other hand finger is not dipped.

I am new to take 6mg chewable tadalafil. If were to take one in the evening and go out for some drinks later that night will I be ok? I have read conflicting reports and want to participate but not have to worry about serious side effects.

I’m 20 male and I’m honestly just curious if I had a tooth abscess and let’s say it were to burst and become sepsis is it possible for sepsis to cause a cough or is that not possible if it’s not a chest infection in itself

I got my blood drawn last week on Friday and had a weird experience with it all. Now, a week later it just has a weird ring of discoloration around it. Very faint but to me it is apparent.

19F, 50kg, vaper, no medication.
My knee has had eczema for a very long time but it has now gotten infected (I assume). Over the last 3-4 days my right hand has gotten drastically worse and I fear it might also be showing signs of infection as well with the small pustules that were not there before I woke up this morning.
My left hand is also having some problems with one of my fingers that quickly developed last night, it is swollen and throbbing with a yellowish tinge/liquid I can see just under my cuticle. It feels like any Nic/scratch I’ve gotten in the last few days has automatically gotten infected, I won’t be able to get into the doctors until Jan 6th and I’m looking for some advice in the mean time.
I’ve been using an over the counter antiseptic cream but tbh I don’t think it’s working. This was very out of no where there wasn’t much build up to it and every morning i seem to be having worsened/ more problems. What do I do? Should I continue to use the cream or would drying it out be best

I’m 22(F) Type 1 diabetic, 107lbs, 5’4 I seem to keep getting utis lately, but i have no change in routine, i pee after sex, i pee after baths or swimming, i wipe front to back, i consider myself very hygienic as well. I woke up with pain in my bladder area, and lower back. it hurts to pee really bad and i cramp from then till about 45 minutes after and a little through the day. I just got off my period, and had sex last night, i peed after. i had a uti 2 months ago and had blood in my urine, but the doc didn’t take it much serious and i was just put on an antibiotic, but i had full on blood clots in my pee and i’m positive it didn’t come from my vagina. Fast forward to this time, my pee is pink and it’s not coming from my vag either, and i have normal discharge. what could this be? I’m going to call my doctor but i’m worried that it will be brushed off again, what am i doing wrong? (i also don’t drink anything or eat anything that would change my urine color)

Hi there I 35F 230lb have had a change in my periods, at the same time I was diagnosed with PCOS. I know that PCOS can cause irregularities, but there's been constants within my irregular periods. I never have spotting. And starting in June 8 started to have long periods (+2 weeks) of spotting and then a light but long period (8 days)
My doctor is not concerned. I am, because before the spotting started I'd regularly go 6 months between periods. So I'm looking for information on what changes I should be concerned about with this diagnosis, since it puts me at a higher risk of certain cancers.
