I’ll try to keep this short. Thursday (dec 5, 2024) my partner was driving for work and chemicals fell off a shelf and into his eyes. They employ EMS so they flushed with saline and told him the chemicals were basically just vegetable starches so he’d be fine. He was in immense pain and I pushed him to have them open a workers comp claim. They sent him to an urgent care and the doctor told him it was just an allergic reaction to the chemicals and sent him home. Told him he’d be fine the next day. Etc.
He started to lose vision in both eyes, the pain was so bad he was screaming. He went to ER where they treated him, gave him pain drops, told him he needed to follow up with an eye specialist. ASAP. Vision returned in one eye, the left eye is still blurry. On Friday, he was told by the workers comp specialist that the paperwork he received was stating he was fine to go back to work. He went back to the same workers comp clinic, they said he had chemical burns around his eyes, referred him to an ophthalmologist and released him from their care. They also stated he was fine to go back to work but his restrictions are no screens and no driving for 2 weeks. He is a driver.
There is nothing more (from my impression) that ER or urgent care can do for him but he’s still in pain and he has almost no vision in his left eye. He has been fighting with workers comp to get into the ophthalmologist since Friday morning.
He’s been doing regular eye drops, cold compresses, heat compresses and numbing/pain drops.
My question is, is there anything I can do to help him in the meantime while he waits to see an eye doctor? Should I try flushing his eyes again? Different drops?

She’s late on her period(beginning of january), and I’m not sure about this faint line. Tested in the morning and photo is in the evening.
The wife has been pretty fatigued these past weeks and has been super hormonal.
We’ll retest in a few days.

i have about 17 coldsores, and new blisters keep appearing, it's been a week since the first one popped up. i am worried because they won't stop appearing and the scabs are going black. surely i shouldn’t be getting new ones after a week! and why are they green

19m saw girlfriend yesterday and usually after sex and cuddling I do have red spots on my chest and shoulders but it’s not this bad at all, not even close. They’re always super minor. I woke up this morning and I am covered in red spots on my face, chest, shoulders, arms, back, and stomach. What is this and what can I do?

I am getting proper medical care and close monitoring and I have social support--but I also have family who cannot know about this. I hope you can take my word on why this is genuinely important for my well-being.
I'm also being treated for thyroid issues which they are aware of, so I thought I might say "a thyroid procedure"--but I googled that and all of that seems to be major surgery.
I may need two procedures--an endometrial biopsy and then a D&C.
I need a straightforward explanation that won't worry them, that I'd need some level of sedation for, and that leaves no marks.
Ideally it would be abdominal and something that might be scheduled on short notice--but please feel free to suggest anything plausible, I truly have nothing right now!
Lying is truly not my thing but I'm in a situation where it is necessary, and I've made my peace with that. I'd be grateful for your assistance.

Has anyone seen this before? History: sudden onset. No exposure to plants or medication. Other symptoms were numbness and weakness in left side of body with slight facial droop. Difficult finding words and forming sentences. Stroke/TIA ruled out. Vision in left eye blurry. Clonus in left foot, which resolved after 50mg IV Benadryl. Multiple CT and MRI’s clear. Bubble study on heart clear. Bloodwork clean expect for minor anemia. At least 6-7 neurologists have reviewed, along with 2 PCP’s, 2 optometrists and an opthomologist. Optos was taken and cleared.

Okay, I am not trying to come off as stupid, but I was never necessary taught to much about toxic gasses or poisoning. So, I am wondering what carbon monoxide poisoning is along with where it comes from, I have a small situation going on.
I am 6 months pregnant and live with my partner in a small apartment. A couple hours ago, that alarm began going off over and over again. I woke him up asking what the alarm means and he just took the batteries out. He said the batteries were low and to stop overthinking. We put some new ones in, and it began to go off instantly. This irritated him so he took them out again and went back to bed, saying that the device is just old.
Are there false alarms? What are they caused by? I've done some research and this poisoning is apparently very dangerous. I opened our window and I'm not sure what else to do. He assures me that nothing is happening and to sleep.
Advice? How should I handle this? Am I overthinking by worrying so much?
SMALL UPDATE : I read that the chirps/beeping means different things? Mine is beeping four times, pausing for a couple seconds and then repeating. Not sure if this helps anything but just noting if this is important.
Thank you(:
UPDATE!:
I'm okay!! Everything is taking care of and right now I'm being checked to see if my baby is okay. Thank you so so so so much for all of the help and support! 🩷

They appeared only on the outer part of my arms. They do not hurt or anything. What could it be? I tend to be pretty dramatic and I'm already worrying (I can't take good pictures, but they are more visible irl)

I’m a 49 year old female, non smoker, non-drug user no alcohol. Currently take low-dose blood pressure meds as well as a statin. History of massive stroke approximately five years ago, however things have been well since then relatively speaking. Currently for the past three weeks experiencing extreme vertigo/dizziness/ headaches at all times over-the-counter meds have not been effective. I’m just not sure if the ER is the best place, insurance is not an issue.

Is this healing?
So I cut my foot 6 days ago when visiting Columbia and did not treat it properly. I stupidly only washed it in dirty hot tub water thinking it would be fine the next day.
Here’s a timeline: Day 1: foot gets cut and I wash in dirty hot tub(no pics)
Day 2: fly back to the US with only a dirty sock covering the cut. Once I got home I saw that my foot was swollen and bulging out of my shoe
Day 3: foot hurts so bad I can barely walk, I ice it, clean the wound, and cover with neosporine and bandage.
Day 4: swelling slightly went down but foot turned red and cut looked worse. Went to doctor and they gave me 500 mg cephalexin and took a culture.(still waiting on results)
Day 5: a little more red and the cut looked kinda purple around the edges
Day 6(today): foot appears to be the same size and redness but the cut appears to be looking better.
Friend of mine who is a dentist is telling me to go to the ER, but i think it’s getting better so idk.
Am i going to loose my foot? Should I go to the ER?
Notes: Leg feels warm all the way up to the thigh, but the redness and swelling stop at the ankle.
Day 5-6 photos were taken in much different lighting situations.
I appreciate any and all advice you have to offer. Thank you

Been working myself to the bone lately especially past couple weeks and I know I'm so run down. Mostly labor intensive work in woods or outside heat. Late again last night came in so tired and sore. Then woke up with these places and swelling where the soreness aches. Also I work hard, but i definitely sweat beyond normal like so much more than everyone like both my bosses and people that work for me and the people working for me and the people i work for seem to notice it and say things. Help anyone? Calm my worries?

I am currently in the hospital and just trying to get an idea of what to expect from one of my issues. I just had my right ovary removed due to intermittent torsion and a large ovarian cyst. This was done on an emergency basis, I went to gynecology this morning and they got me to the hospital and into an operation within a few hours.
I was already having trouble peeing due to a UTI and possibly related to the torsion. But post surgery, it's almost impossible. I constantly feel extreme urge but when I try, very little to none comes out. Could this be related to the anesthesia? What might they do?
Also, they have me on oxycodone and it's barely controlling my surgery related pain. I tried telling the nurse and she just said "that's all you have" is there a magic key for getting her to communicate with the doctor to try to manage my pain better? Or am I screwed?
I am 40f and on Prozac sulfasalazine trospium flagyll and IV diflucan

So backstory is I fell Saturday night on concrete and landed on my right knee so it took most of the damage lol I immediately rinsed it with hydrogen peroxide and continued on with my plans. Sunday and Monday it was swelling, red and throbbing whenever I’d stand up and it was also difficult to walk. I was using hydrogen peroxide and Vitacilina which is a Mexican brand antibiotic ointment. I woke up today (Tuesday) and the swelling has gone down and so has the redness and it doesn’t hurt as much to stand anymore but there is more drainage and it looks more yellow. I’m scared it’s getting infected but there’s no smell to it, it’s not as tender anymore and the redness has gone down. Last night, I rinsed it with the dial gold bar soap and slathered it with ointment. I have no insurance so I’m really trying to avoid going to the doctors but I’ll go if I have to! The picture is from this morning. What do you guys think?
