Question Maps of the suspected earth from 1400s?
I’m on chapter 2 of Newman’s “Company of Adventurers” and they’re describing how in the 1400s, based on what explorers had observed so far, it was suspected that (what is now known as) North America extended nearly from North to South Pole (although it sounds like a south passage was known about already), and was hypothesized to actually be a giant peninsula of Asia. The 2nd picture here mentions that John Cabot sketched a globe of what he thought this looked like. Are there any images of these maps that they were theorizing at the time?
