Comics are a medium used to express ideas with images, often combined with text or other visual information. It typically takes the form of a sequence of panels of images. Textual devices such as speech balloons, captions, and onomatopoeia can indicate dialogue, narration, sound effects, or other information.

We are on the comic subreddit - you don’t need to explain what a comic is. Looking for some context behind the comic silly.

It was not the man’s birthday. But the customer is always right. So the wizard used magic to make it his birthday.

But what happened to the original man who he put the egg inside of? Thanks for explaining. I was having a /r/wooosh moment

That is complicated because you’d need to know a bit of lore about the anime Dragonball to get the full context over. Basically think of it as the soul of the man being turned into an egg and being rebirthed from his old body. His old shell is turned to dust but he is still the original guy.

Okay see that’s the part I was trying to grasp. I know it’s OC and I wasn’t sure if it was an original idea that was contributing to the human -> egg situation or a reference to something I was missing. The dragonball reference is chefs kiss - you know what I’m saiyen? ;)

Thank you for the explanations and sharing your time with me!

Same. Anyone feel like explaining what's going on here?

Customer lies about his birthday to get free ice cream. Wizard is sworn to make the customer right, so the wizard dutifully enchants the customer to respawn via some painful nether process, making today their new birthday. He hands them a free cone, and begins serving the next customer.

Thank you.

See the comic doesn't tell us that the customer is lying...

In panel 6, the wizard seemingly starts to dispute the customer's claim (using some kind of time-magic) before recalling his instructions.

Also, the "customer is always right" joke doesn't work very well if the wizard is simply acting spiteful.
