Looking for help team building for the new kaido legend.Imagine you are trying to help an idiot who happens to have a lot of RR units + legends. Who should I be putting resources into.Also the new luffy as well. I really don’t even know what content I should even be playing right now if I’m being honest. ;-;

There is no 1 team for all content in this game, hence teams are built according to the content facing. So firstly, you should pick a content you wanna face, only after you picked a content then it be suitable for you to pick units you wanna use. For point events or item collection contents, there are boosted units that increase point multipliers or drop duplication, so you'd want to try and have many of them.
A basic tip for team building is to look through the stage breakdown and bring gimmick removers. (EG: If a stage has increased DEF, you'd want to bring someone to remove that)

Which unit to pour your resources into? There's no good answer for this since even if the unit is "Broken" if they are not boosted, you're highly not gonna use the unit for it. And as a newbie or returning player, you wanna clear those events first before diving into higher difficulty content such as Grand Voyage. The best advice I can give is to only pump those resources when you need to use the unit. (Or you can watch some tier list videos, though I personally don't recommend doing since the impact of units differs from each content)

What content to do right now? Always prioritise ongoing events! And by that, I don't mean every content that is available right now, but, content that has a time limit. You can check by going to Event map -> Check! -> and looking at the time remaining above the content title. (Currently, 8th Anni blitz battle & Katakuri forbidden secret)
Aside from that, you should look out for monthly events like Treasure Map, and Kizuna Clash. Treasure Map is really important as you will be getting most of your Limit Break materials here.
In a situation where you're cramped with having too many ongoing events, prioritise time remaining, from lowest to highest. (For now: TM > Katakuri event > Anni Blitz battle).

There are many places where you can get more teambuilding guides, or you can just copy teams really. Just search them on youtube or something. However, if you wanna have someone guide you through team building, do join the discord channel and see if anyone is free to help under the question text channel. (The link is somewhere at the side >>>, I think...)

Sorry for the very wordy reply, good luck!
