Just wanted to clarify that he did not slice the Punk Records part of the Labophase, he sliced the "ground" cloud where the basements keeping the prisoners were. Punk Records is the upper part of the egg shell above everything.

yeah seems like theyre in desperate need of keeping the mother flame and someone who know how to use it(york) alive and in their possession,priotizing it over keeping the info vegapunk have about the void century contained despite them angry about the info going global

Considering they nuked Lulusia and suddenly the tides rose, I think that's a safe bet.
