This chapter is where the final saga begins. There's no going back now that everyone knows their lives are in danger with the world actively being sunk. I love this series

Garps ambiguity in the state he's in is going to have the world government willing to do anything to get his head from Blackbeard so they can be assured there's no one who could act as a marine figurehead against them

I’m hoping the Gorosei go through with the “kill ‘em all” idea and literally try to kill every single living thing on the island…including their own troops. The troops will realize who’s the baddy NOW. It’s all well and good when your bosses tell you to kill your colleague… “oh he must have done something bad” …but when they ask you to lie down and die…will you do it?

And when the baddie you’ve been chasing, that Dr. V just said looks just like the hero who tried to save the world, ends up saving YOU..from your own bosses….

And, like, most people will assume this weapon is with the world government, right?

The people only know of two factions in the void century war. Joy Boy and the current World Government. They know Joy Boy died and lost, so it wasn't he who used the weapon, so... only one possible choice remains.

This is so much worse than the Roger announcement, it's exposing the world government as having systematically lied to the world for 800 years.
