It doesn’t matter anymore. Really it doesn’t. Palestine granted freedom to the world. Freedom to finally see what our world truly is. The playground of the powerful. Those in Gaza I feel are actually lucky, it’s what happens now to the rest of us that worries me. We can’t go back as a species anymore. We can’t go back to humanity when we have excused the most brutal genocidal regime and allowed them to do what they want. This is the end now. If and when power shifts, the brutality will be tenfold. There are no rules anymore. No laws. No respect. Gaza showed us the monster, and the world either turned their face or accepted the monster with open arms.
They are lucky in that it will be over for them soon. The rest of us will be around for much longer. But in the end it will amount to the same. We all live at the pleasure of the rich and powerful, and their is no limit to the suffering they will inflict.
These fuckin redditors lol. “She was lucky to be incinerated by a missile because otherwise she might have had to live in a depressing and exploitative system”—like how tf can someone think that?
People in Gaza feel that the dead are not unfortunate as they don't have to live holding their dead siblings and infants or live with the fear of being blown up any second.
They believe they are in a better place.
People watching it on the other side of the screen though can't say that without being an asshole.
This is so true. I was just telling my husband the other day. We lost all humanity. Now we are next. This is so sad. After all the previous war crimes that have been committed you’d think there’s no way anyone would get away with shit like this again. But here we are.
It’s not just that. It’s the dissolution of trust. Like we thought we were the good people. That our countries in the west actually wanted to lead humanity. Instead it’s revealed that the west is cruel and callous and corrupt. We can’t back Israel and then pretend that Russia or China or Iran are bad, we are all bad. That’s the point. We have no more humanity left. We have bombs, money, power and greed. I don’t know what comes next. Maybe not now but for future generations. It’s why I think the US is doing what it’s doing now, blindly supporting and enabling Israel, cause it’s a message that they’re going to burn the world if they ever feel really threatened. And that’s a very scary thought.
You have forgotten that Gaza broke the peace, attacked Isreal, killed over 1400 people, raped and burned civilians, and still holds over 100 hostages. Did you forget that?
No, I didn’t forget what Hamas supposedly did. I never saw the pics of the dead Israeli’s. Maybe if I did I’d be more sympathetic towards them. All I see are dead and wounded Palestinian children. Not to mention all the aid that’s being destroyed by Israeli settlers. So I cannot sympathize with murderers who blatantly get away with it. Sorry. Also, are those 100 hostages more important than an entire civilization?
What peace? The period where it was only Palestinians that were killed indiscriminately? Where only they suffered? Where they were under a constant, brutal military occupation?
If you call that peace, then you are perfectly fine with violence, murder, rape, and hostage taking as long as it doesn't happen to the people you either like or can find familiarity with.

Your post speaks. I’ll read it again
But it seems you offer two examples of IDF willingness to commit such atrocities.
It omits any indication of culpability by Hamas.
So clearly it is not a “fantasy” that you make no mention of the hundreds of Israeli civilian hostages who are being used as human shields since their kidnapping.
Nor does your post mention the millions of Palestinians who were neither warned nor evacuated by Hamas and therefore as consequences were and still are human shield between Hamas fighters and IDF forces who retaliated for the 7/10/23.

Yeah, it's apparent and well documented that Hamas does the same. I didn't even have to ask you for sources. What's swept under the rug is the IDF doing the same exact thing, so I provided those.

First, please I can see that my opposition to your point of view is upsetting. Try to cope.
Let me put to you from my point of view. Hamas is a military organization engaged in a conflict and executed a military offensive against an enemy. A military force that plans an offensive must consider the likely retaliatory consequences and the risks to itself and to the civilians it is supposedly SWORN to defend.
It requires no special genius to come to a conclusion as to what the IDF will do if attacked. It is pretty obvious that IDF will retaliate. Hamas is required in that case to step up to the duty of care of a professional bona fide military organization and consider how their actions will put the millions of people they say they defend in direct danger.
According to the accepted conventions the commitment of a bona fide military organization is a social contract with its citizens that hold the combatant will sacrifice their lives not just to inflict harm on the enemy but to FIRST defend those whom the swore an oath to protect.
It is in fact the PRIMARY reason the military is ARMED by civilians in the first place.
I think you completely miss this point and ignore the fact that If Hamas is capable of such a skillful and lethal offensive military maneuver it is more than capable of managing its duty of care for Oalisinian civilians as the IDF manages its civil defense duty of care for Israelis.
Hamas and Israel have BOTH instigated lethal hostilities in FULL knowledge of the consequences to civilian lives.
Hamas and the IDF have purposely with malice and forethought dehumanized millions of Palistinians and Israelis who place their trust in them by ignoring conventions and placing noncombatants in harms way.
My conclusion is that the IDF tries to adhere to social contract it has with Israelis. However Hamas has abandoned its own people.
Hamas has clearly denied the moral responsibility of bona fide military force for the security of their own people and abdicated the role to FOREIGNERS.
Gaza broke the peace, killed 1400 people, raped and burned civilians. And still holds over 140 hostages. Of course Isreal is going to get Biblical on your ass.
Nobody seems to want any Gazans. Egypt won't let anybody in. A country of 80+million. Jordan, which is majority Palestinian, won't let anybody in. NO Arab country wants any refugees. Why? Because, as a people you are a pain in the ass. Anything coming out of Gaza is a lie.You can't get along with anybody. Nobody wants to deal with you. And Hamas continues to hide in dungeons under your feet.
That is absurd. Palestinians have granted us freedom? I understand and deplore the tragedy but there seems to persist a posture and position which offers safe haven for terrorists. Is that granting us freedom?

The only safe haven for terrorists is Israel. That’s facts. Use the term for what it is and it’s clear Israel are terrorists. Pure terrorists. Palestinian freedom is essential to progress. And for that, Israel terrorism must end.
If Israel wanted to destroy Gaza they could have done it in 2 days—instead they are targeting terrorist group that hides amongst its people. That’s really hard to do. I would not call people in Gaza lucky . They have a terrible leadership that could end this—by returning to hostages. They won’t want this to end . They are terrible to their people. They fire at the humanitarian aid crossing into Rafah—they don’t want a ceasefire. Shame on Hamas.
Shame on you and shame on Israel. They have destroyed Gaza. Facts are coming out about the atrocities DAILY. You support Israeli terrorism. Shame on you.
The most brutal genocidal regime? No rules, no laws? Israel is maintaining one of the lowest civilian to militant casualty ratings in an urban setting, in the most challenging urban environment ever. Don't spend the next twenty years of your life in mania living a lie.

Azerbaijan used these munitions on Armenians in Artsakh last year and no one gave a shit. At this point you might as well slap a storm trooper helmet on all of us.
You may or may not know how demoralizing it is to have that hope bombed out of your heart over a period of 4 years where no one gives a shit or could be inconvenienced.
I think you are thinking of air fuel cluster bombs. But you are also not entirely wrong here. It's just instead of using a specific kinda bombs made for carpeting the area they are just using individual missiles at large numbers for same effects. Potato ~ tomato, almost the same outcome. Chaos.
No, there is not enough information to conclude that israel didnt have reason to belive that there were legitimate military targets and that they didnt make a sufficent cost benefit analysis. Until then its not clear.

Is this an international war crime??
