First, please I can see that my opposition to your point of view is upsetting. Try to cope.
Let me put to you from my point of view. Hamas is a military organization engaged in a conflict and executed a military offensive against an enemy. A military force that plans an offensive must consider the likely retaliatory consequences and the risks to itself and to the civilians it is supposedly SWORN to defend.
It requires no special genius to come to a conclusion as to what the IDF will do if attacked. It is pretty obvious that IDF will retaliate. Hamas is required in that case to step up to the duty of care of a professional bona fide military organization and consider how their actions will put the millions of people they say they defend in direct danger.
According to the accepted conventions the commitment of a bona fide military organization is a social contract with its citizens that hold the combatant will sacrifice their lives not just to inflict harm on the enemy but to FIRST defend those whom the swore an oath to protect.
It is in fact the PRIMARY reason the military is ARMED by civilians in the first place.
I think you completely miss this point and ignore the fact that If Hamas is capable of such a skillful and lethal offensive military maneuver it is more than capable of managing its duty of care for Oalisinian civilians as the IDF manages its civil defense duty of care for Israelis.
Hamas and Israel have BOTH instigated lethal hostilities in FULL knowledge of the consequences to civilian lives.
Hamas and the IDF have purposely with malice and forethought dehumanized millions of Palistinians and Israelis who place their trust in them by ignoring conventions and placing noncombatants in harms way.
My conclusion is that the IDF tries to adhere to social contract it has with Israelis. However Hamas has abandoned its own people.
Hamas has clearly denied the moral responsibility of bona fide military force for the security of their own people and abdicated the role to FOREIGNERS.
