I don’t remember where I heard this, but somewhere someone posited that when a near death experience occurs, it’s actually your consciousness being carried over to a reality where you survived instead of just normal surviving. IMO not very believable, but it’s also unverifiable.

I think this one is just kind of a low-level "what is consciousness" sort of problem? It's basically the teleporter problem. You don't really know what reality you're in or if you and the universe just came into being a second ago and all your memories are just gaps in perception being filled in.

Isekai is when you get transported to a different world, but like one that is clearly different in some way like into a fantasy world with magic and stuff.
This scenarios is more like jumping to a parallel dimension, where every dimension is more or less the same except you didn’t die.

Makes me think of a singlularity in the future that all timelines converge to where every human being since prehistory is one way or another still alive and at this point true immortality is achieved through scientific advance and no more people die or are born. The human race has finally reached heaven, and history, as we understand it, ends at this point.
Sounds stupid when you think about it for more than ten seconds? Yes, but it's a very interesting ten seconds right before that

Years ago, I had a similar theory. In a high school elective focused on theoretical physics and thought experiments, we were discussing the Many Worlds interpretation (every choice made splits reality based on the number of possible alternative choices) and we had just finished a small unit on consciousness, existence, awareness, and it's provability (or the lack thereof).
We had also discussed consciousness and AI (it was still very rudimentary at that point, 2015 I think? Whenever we discovered gravity is a wave). We talked about how if you had two sealed rooms, one with a computer, and one with a human, both answering the same questions, and you couldn't tell them apart, who's to say the computer isn't conscious? And who's to say the human is "real"? The only way to confirm anybody else in this existence is another consciousness aside from your own, is to ask them. Not very reliable.
At some point, someone posited that because of the sheer amount of different choices everybody has had to make, and the difficulty in proving anybody else is "real", it's possible that everybody could be in their own reality. This led us to discuss the Mandela Effect, and if people really were being moved around the multiverse, what the ramifications or possible causes of that could be.
My theory on the subject was that we could all be inhabiting every universe in which we exist, but the branch that takes us the furthest is the one we perceive. A big change (like making a choice that ultimately results in getting hit by a car) creates realities in which you died, survived with injuries, reacted in time and got out of the way, etc. and all of those realities are just as real as the others, but the one you perceive is the one that takes you the furthest. A broken collarbone could result in a hospital visit that finds something life threatening, or could discourage a future choice that may result in death.
It all kind of boils down to a less divine, less scripted take on "everything happens for a reason." If time isn't linear, everything that will happen has already happened. My consciousness has chosen to perceive this branch of reality because it is the one that will experience the most.
Also, just a slight disclaimer: I don't actually believe these things, just a fun thought experiment.

I’ve had two NDE’s and I’ve felt this way about them for a long long time. I think about it probaly way too much but with each NDE life has gotten increasingly more bizarre and sad.

It starts off the same, only the MC has an unexplained feeling that they're right. Over the course of the series, we see more and more historical & cultural discrepancies untill suddenly it goes full sci-fi or magic.
Or, a comedy series where all the absurd logic & creatures are being revealed at full force and are treated as normal by everyone else but the isekai'd MC.

Sometimes, when I pass the same model and color car as mine, there's a guy in there who looks kinda/sorta like me. I'm pretty sure that it IS me, and at some point in my near future I'll be isekai'd into the same universe but at a slightly different time & circumstances.
I like to honk and wave, just in case it's true. That way, if it ever does happen, I'll know for sure because someday someone will honk and wave at me, and I'll be like "they must remember being me in this timeline."
