My dad just moved to Charlotte and one of his favorite foods is an olive burger. Anyone know where you can get an olive burger in Charlotte?

Edit: Clearly I needed at add more information...an olive burger is a burger topped with olives mixed into a sauce, usually with mayo.

When I was at university, our town had a 7 Brew coffee. The best thing about 7 brew was that you can get all of their flavor options in sugar-free.

Unfortunately, we do not have a 7 Brew in the city, but I am constantly craving a sugar-free flavored coffee option.

I am a 30f and I have tried a few different things to make friends but no one ever sticks. How do you all make friends? I am super nerdy so enjoy things like DND, video games, and even enjoy sports like Hockey and CLT FC. I have tried bumble BFF but same thing, I will match with a few people and then conversation dies off. Can anyone offer any advice on how and where to make friends?

- I should add a few more things. I am looking for nonjudgmental people. Whether that is in the form of couples, individuals, etc. I am married but also have a partner (poly). It is always super awkward in having to explain that to people but I do not typically fit in with the more "kinkier" side of things so meeting people who are also poly has not really been successful. All in all, I just want to find and make friends that are accepting of this and do not look at me as a freak.

Coming from out of state, going to a concert at BC. Concert “ starts” at 7:30, tickets include parking. What time should we go, any thoughts? An hour before, 30 minutes? Never been to this venue so a little unsure. Don’t want to be too early.

New to the area, moved here from Austin. Liking CLT so far, but one thing I'm really missing is getting some organized 11v11 soccer action. There was a great league system in Austin with multiple divisions, 3 paid referees for every match, promotion/relegation system, etc. Divisions spanned from extremely competitive to casual.

From Googling so far, I haven't found anything in the area to replicate this. However, I've driven by some fields a few times and seen what looked like organized adult male league action.

I bought my wife and her friends tickets to a concert at The Fillmore for next month, and since I don’t think they’re very adept at driving around Charlotte, I was thinking of getting them VIP parking. But the site is very vague and just says it’s next to the parking garage… what exactly does that mean? Is it just the surface lot around that garage behind AvidXchange? Is it worth it, or should I just let them figure it out when they get there?

I’m on the hunt for an artist who can take a painting and enhance it in a super creative way - because right now, this piece is a little... blah (see attached). My dad has had it forever, and while I once dreamed of turning it into a 𝐷𝑢𝑐𝑘 𝐻𝑢𝑛𝑡 ℎ𝑜𝑚𝑎𝑔𝑒, that idea got shot down (pun intended).

Instead, I’m thinking of going full-on 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐬! Picture this:

• An AT-ST (chicken walker) stomping through the scene on the right, maybe blasting at something.

• Even cooler: the blaster "shot" coming through the painting and burning part of the frame itself—like it’s breaking into our world!

I was trying to work with an artist Ion Matthews that I met over the summer to get a sketch & do the painting but their schedule was just to busy to get this completed so I am back to square one.

I’ve got the vision but zero talent to pull it off, so I’m looking for someone who:

Does creative painting enhancements (like those Instagram thrift store art upgrades with characters added).

Is somewhat local to Charlotte, NC, so we can chat, sketch, and get this just right before any paint hits the canvas.

Ideas please on how/where (other than work, church, breweries) to meet other singles aged 60+ in Charlotte-or are there really very many of us? I'm dying of boredom in this city but have to be here cuz of elderly parents 80 & 91 and I find it very isolating & limiting. They are all I have and I need to find others who basically are without family their age here. Starting a grief program soon since my only sibling died but there's got to be others like me here who are searching for friends and a sense of belonging when you've lost all your siblings.

Im writing this to inform future residents or people who are looking at living there, DONT DO IT: I lived there and first off all my experience was awful from the day I moved in, you could tell they didn’t clean the place at all before I move in there, there was dust everywhere floors weren’t even vacuumed the bathroom had trash and hair in it, now onto when I lived there, cars were broken into and stolen, There were roaches all on the first floor, things didn’t get fixed within a timely manner, the list goes on but I don’t want to make this 15 pages long. Here’s where they actually became unethical. I was scheduled to move out on November 30th, I went to drop off my keys around 12 pm, the lady there told me to come back later that day or the next day December 1st to sign paperwork. I came back the same day but they closed early leaving me and another resident wondering where they were. I came back on the first as I was told to drop and drop off my keys, as I was told. Later I receive an email saying that I need to pay rent for the entire month of December and the reason being was that I turned in my keys on the first as I was told! These people are absolute scammers. Not only did they charge me rent for December $950 but they charged me $450 worth of “cleaning fees” for a small bedroom including $150 worth of fees for “trash on the floor” when I know for a fact I did not leave any. They’re scammers and they will make up cleaning fees just to charge students an arm and a leg to move out, save yourself the headache, tell your friends and family members. I want the whole world to know how yugo Charlotte really is!
