(Disclaimer: I have absolutely no problem with preferred pronouns or trans identies. Afterall, trans workers are still workers. Solidarity forever.)
Some people (clearly) want to use their identity as more than just an "identity", but as a cudgel; something to hide behind and something to weaponize.
There's a saying, and I don't know who to attribute it to, but it goes like this:
Anti-Capitalism without Intersectionality is just class reductionism, but Intersectionality without Anti-Capitalism is just liberal identity politics.
It seems like the subject of this video has fallen prey to the latter. Being seen and being understood are surely all good things. Don't we want people to see us, understand us, and accept us as we are?
So this begs the question: Why would they hate that someone correctly identified them?
I think the problem is generally that they are using their non-binary idenity as a sort of coping mechanism or a cop-out for dealing with the world, so they don't like it when the world pierces that veil. (Note: I am not saying that their gender identity is invalid. Just that they are using a valid identity for a purpose which it unfortunately just cannot serve.)
This is why they get upset when a customer walks in a clocks them, it means they are seen and they are, in fact, part of the world, and all its myriad problems.
Beware of r/socialism. Their mods ban socialists who post socialist content. I got banned there and was treated very aggressively.
I’ll check out r/thedeprogram but hopefully you guys aren’t in the habit of banning posters… you know… the folks who provide content for discussion on subreddits. Without posters, subreddits do not function.

EDIT: Plugging The Deprogram podcast (join us over at r/TheDeprogram) and Socialism in general. (No, not Social Democracy, I mean actual r/socialism)
EDIT2: Thanks for the gold, kind stranger!
