The games industry is undergoing a 'generational change,' says Epic CEO Tim Sweeney: 'A lot of games are released with high budgets, and they're not selling'

Tim Sweeney apparently thinks big budget games fail because... They aren't social enough? I personally feel that this is BS, but what do you guys think? Is there a trend to support his comments?

"We keep spending obscene amounts of money to make shitty games with no soul or creativity while shoving micro-transactions into them. Why are the games selling badly??"

Reddit can be a problematic platform for discussions and freedom of speech due to its heavy reliance on moderation and upvote/downvote systems. Moderators have significant control over what content is visible or removed, often based on subjective rules. This can lead to censorship, especially in controversial topics. The upvote/downvote system tends to favor popular opinions, silencing minority or less mainstream viewpoints. Additionally, "echo chambers" often form, where only certain perspectives are tolerated, stifling open debate and discouraging diverse ideas. As a result, genuine discourse and freedom of expression can be limited.

“How can we turn young gamers into an endless stream of cash the way casinos do?’

when GTA V released it was the most expensive game ever made and made buck load of money.

years later despite it featuring everything "bad" still the make top 10 bestseller list consistently, if you make good product people will buy it's not that complicated it's very simple.
Making a good product is extremely hard though if not impossible because of the way most of these studios conduct business.

You can't throw money at bad management and expect good results, abusing the devs , constant layoffs ,toxic and sometimes unsafe workplace .all of these issues why even a small studio can compete nowadays because how dire the situation at AAA studio level
