In general is it ok to check out the campus and walk around taking pictures of your friends in front of buildings etc? I was outside campus a while back and it looked so pretty

In the USC commercial they show during football games and the like, there's a quick montage and brief mention of USC and "Big ideas" and they flash ChatGPT on the screen. What's the connection between USC/OpenAI? Or is it just attempt to toss in token GenAI and alluded to USC working on "big ideas"?

Don't have many close friends in LA, and my means of transportation are kinda limited. Hence I was wondering if there's any public social event (close to campus) that everyone is aware of? I don't want to celebrate New Year's Eve alone!

used to get al pastor tacos with my roommate at the taco stand in the AutoZone lot in 2019 and then they got kicked out and moved to 30th Pl. I followed their account on ig for a while before it got a little weird (changed to a personal account?). I came back here hoping to find them but all I’ve found is this ‘Lasso my Taco’ place and their al pastor does not taste like the OG at all 😔

I have one of my classes listed as NS. I am assuming it means not submitted. I emailed the TA and the prof. Is there anything else I can do? Did this ever happen to other people, is it fixible? I am projected to get an A from this class so I don't think the issue is my grade, it's probably that the TA forgot to submit the grades or something.

Can anyone who's alr taken this course tell how easy/difficult this course is? How are the homework/assignments/projects? And of course, how easy/difficult is it to get an A?

I am an incoming spring sophomore transfer into Marshall and due to clashing schedule with my old school my mandatory online orientation date was placed on January 7th. None of the classes I need for my major are open and I also don’t need any GE’s as I transferred most of my credit already. I heard USC sets some class space aside for transfer but can I rely on this? I also know many people just show up to class on the first day hoping the prof will just let them in, can I rely on this for all my classes 😭? Sorry for the long post I’m just really struggling to find a solution.

Does anyone’s web reg extension actually notify them when a class opens? I swear I have never gotten a notifcation even though I know that it had been open previously. Does this happen to anyone else or does anyone know how to fix this?

I know someone posted something similar a few days ago but i want to frame this in a slightly diff way - what are some classes at usc that you think are so impactful that you would recommend every student to take them? i've heard ctcs466 thrown around a lot which is a good example, but a class like organic chemistry wouldn't really count (even if it did change your life). ITP 476 seems like another super useful class, the art classes with metal and wood seem cool too.

so I received my final grade for a class a few days ago but I noticed it was nowhere near what I predicted my grade would be, especially considering how well I did on the final. When I checked Brightspace, I saw my professor gave me a 0 on an exam that I had done. At first I thought that maybe she didn’t use Brightspace grades to calculate final grades, however after calculating my grade myself using a grade calculator, I noticed that with the 0 on the exam, I got the exact grade that was shown on oasis, meaning she does use Brightspace grades.

Issue is I know for a fact that I did not get a 0 on this exam and this professor always confused me as another student in her class so I’m scared she messed up while inputting grades and very stressed as I’ve sent her 2 emails in the past 2 days and she has not replied to me. Will she be able to change my grade after tonight’s deadline or should I contact someone else and if so, who??
