[PC] Can only buy one game in my list, which one?

  • FALLOUT 4 (with all the DLCs): I've been wanting to get into fallout (and other story games) for a while now, but because of college and lack of time I can really only get into one game at a time and put little hours in it. People have recommended me Fallout 4, because I'm the type to enjoy gunplay and gameplay more than story.

  • FALLOUT 76: I've only heard about this recently. Like with fallout 4, if I play this, it will be my first fallout game ever. I've been hearing that it's been getting better(?) but I want to know which one is better. 76 or 4?

  • DEVIL MAY CRY V: I used to play this game back then on my Ps4 but I didn't enjoy it much back then because I really didn't understand nor care about the story and I realized the whole time I was just playing in easy mode. But I sold my Ps4 back then and I'm wanting to try it out again. The only reason why I like this game is because of Vergil.

  • VALHEIM: The gameplay of this intrigued me. I'm not really a survival game type of guy but I want a game that will get me interested in playing survival games even if I get bored easily with survival. I honestly think this game can do that. Suggest me other survival games if I'm wrong. Also if I'm doing this, I'm doing it solo (since I don't have friends to play this with)

  • MONSTER HUNTER RISE: I've been seeing people comparing Rise and World but honestly I like Rise more for its flashy and more active combat style. Me as a person I like things more flashy than slow. I haven't gotten into any monster hunter games, so should I buy Rise? Or should I just save up my money for Wilds?

  • SIFU: I honestly just LOVE combat. Games where there is 0 combat and 0 action I easily get bored of. Lots of people have recommended me Sifu. I really just honestly love an action packed game.

I'm mostly looking for replayability, or money worth for the time I spend on the game. As a busy person I really just want a game I have to log back into after a long day and enjoy. And unless the story intrigues me, I usually drop slow story games with nothing much to do.

[PC] Baldur's Gate 3 or Cyberpunk 2077

So far I'm planning to buy Skyrim, Terraria and Persona 5 Royal. I want to get cyberpunk since it seems good and my friend has recommended it to me. Thanks to the steam deal it's only £22 and with dlc it's £40. On the other hand, Baldur's Gate is £40, and it seems that everyone loves it. Some people will probably say buy both, but my friend will most likely ask me to get a bunch of games that we can play together, which would stop me from being able to get both games.

[PURCHASED] Is God of War worth it?

Was wondering if God of War for PC is worth it as I'm mainly wondering if it has a good story as well as good gameplay, with little to no repeatability throughout the game it seems interesting from snippets of gameplay that I've seen, but I'm not too sure about the actual story part, as I do like to stay away from story spoilers if I'm planning on possibly getting that game, so is it worth it?

Should I buy Path of Exile 2?

Played the first one for about 200 hours. Enjoyed it. Never got into the end game. The second one looks amazing. Played for an hour on my nephews account. Enjoyed what I played of it. I know it’s early access so it’s essentially a beta for 6 to 12 months. Should I buy it now or wait til full release?

[PC] Should I buy Dwarf Fortress?

I'm a huge fan of Rimworld, been playing it for years now. Just got into Caves of Qud which is fucking amazing and probably one of the best "roguelite" games I've ever played.

The new Dwarf Fortress remake struck my interest when it came out, but it's a bit more expensive then I was expecting. With Christmas just passing by a few days ago, I have a few dollars to spend on a new game.

How does it compare to Rimworld and CoQ in terms of depth, replayability, quality and quantity of content, generated story-telling and user experience? Is it really as deep as everyone says it is or do other games overshadow it?

Maybe worth mentioning that the complexity of Dwarf Fortress is a big attractor in my eyes. I love not knowing wtf is going on in my games or only having a surface level understanding so I get thrown curveballs all the time. I heard DF is good for that. I also mainly like building up a town or city and furnishing it, making a lively entertainment and trading place. Rimworld is okay at doing this, but there's a bit too much combat for my liking

[PS5] The Last of Us 2 or Elden Ring?

Never played a soulsborne (?) game. I played the last of us 1 and just finished it a week ago, 5/5 story, but the gameplay kinda sucks. Both are currently around the same price, Elden Ring is 35, The last of us 2 is 50. What should i buy? here’s some games i played and liked (in 2024): - God of War 2018 - Spider Man 1-2 and Miles Morales - Star Wars jedi series - The Last of Us 1 I’m open to any recommendations as well, not just ER and TLoU2

[PC] Have $35 in my Steam wallet for a Steamdeck game. LOU 1 or FF7 remake?

Title says it all. I’ve been waiting in both to go on sale but want one or the other and can’t make up my mind.

I played the original FF7 way back on PS2 and loved it then. I dunno if that’s enough though, like I already played it tire of thing 🤷‍♂️

I saw Last of Us on HBO, so I know the story but would me having seen the show sort of ruin the game for me?

[PC] Good or best MMO to play in 2025

Hello everyone! So as the title states I’m wonder what MMO I should play in 2025! I’ll start by saying I have played world of Warcraft since the original burning crusade and I have really really enjoyed the game obviously as I have played it for that long! But now I’m looking for a different mmo to sink time into! What I really look for and like in these games is 1)class variety(being able to play/level different classes to play when bored of one) 2) class “fun” factor how fun the classes are to play themselves, does the rotation mesh well together does the rotation feel satisfying and ability’s look good on screen! 3) open world exploration 4) a great endgame to keep me coming back day after day to play wether is PVP or PVE dungeons raids type stuff I like both 5) crafting/gathering I love to craft and gather in the games so there needs to be a good crafting gather system 6) class/gear progression I like to feel my character getting stronger with every couple levels or new pieces of gear 7) “solo content” meaning having types of in game finders for dungeons PVP battle grounds or raids 8) a great looking game to really hook me into the world. I’m not a huge story person I prefer gameplay over story and I know I’m in the minority of MMO players when I say this but I much prefer the destination over the journey when it comes to leveling and reaching endgame I’m a father with full time job so I don’t want to spend ages on ages leveling like classic wow I enjoy a good level process but like reaching endgame where the grind begins type deal! I’ve been looking at FFxiv online elder scrolls online new world guild wars 2 destiny 2 warframe any recommendations?

[PC] RPGs with an emphasis on buildcrafting depth, looting, and endgame.

Trying to scratch the looter itch recently, but a lot of games of the type lack the depth I’m looking for. I want games that really want you to think on how you build your character, and not mostly in the boring way of buildcrafting like “choose between plus 10 health or 5 damage” things, but more like “you only have 1 point of health but you are now invincible to an entire damage type”(Chaos Inoculation passive from POE). I also prefer if the game has a challenging endgame content, so the builds you create can be pushed to their limits.

Games I’ve played and what I think about them:

Path of Exile 1 and 2- I picked them up and really got into them this year, the buildcrafting depth and endgame content is unmatched for me currently, as well as the looting experience. My issue with 1 however is outside Ubers the gameplay feels boring after you’ve made your build go online without too much effort. 2 fixes that for me with the constantly engaging combat, but there are other endgame issues I’m waiting on changes for.

Destiny 2- Had a great looting experience, build customisability with the Aspect and Fragment system, and enjoyed their raids and dungeons for endgame content, but Bungie has been making way too many mistakes recently so I’m prob not playing much for a while.

Warframe- It’s got the loot and content, but severely lacks in combat, where everything feels too easy even in the endgame with a slightly competent build. Also, I feel like 70 percent of Warframe’s buildcrafting just comes from adjusting stats rather than creative interactions.

Borderlands- The looting is good and there is content, and the difficulty feels nice, but the build crafting isn’t that deep and I hate the leveled loot system where gear you find at lower levels is permanently stuck there, so it doesn’t feel like it’s worth farming till max level, and I don’t like the looting system of constantly reloading the game for the same checkpoint constantly for drops for hours.

Monster Hunter Worlds/Rise- Fires off all cylinders to be honest, maybe I’d prefer a bit more buildcrafting depth but it’s pretty good already.

Outriders- Looting, buildcrafting and difficulty feel good, but the amount of content is incredibly lacklustre.

Remnant 2- Difficulty and buildcrafting was pretty good, but I kind of felt a lack of some endgame pursuit.

Games I’m interested in but seem to have issues-

Grim Dawn- Seems to be top tier in buildcrafting and loot, but doesn’t really seem to have an endgame and more of just making new characters.

Path of the Righteous- Seems to have good buildcrafting, not really sure about the other elements.

Diablo 4- I’ve spent so much time hearing about people’s complaints with it since its release, and especially heard how shallow it’s buildcrafting feels.

I’d like to hear recommendations for what can satisfy my urge for a game with good loot, deep buildcrafting, and somewhere I can challenge myself in endgame pursuits to test how my build can fare.

[PC] X4 or Caves of Qud if I love games with "living" worlds. Also, playing on Steam Deck.

I've been eying both these games for some time, but realistically I probably only have time to sink into one. Both are Steam Deck verified though I've heard X4 is a tad shoddy (which is fine in small doses).

I want a game that feels alive. Like the world is happening whether or not I'm in it and that each playthrough is its own unique experience. I'll probably be trying to make some YouTube content with it, so whichever leads to the best immersive storytelling would be a plus!

Thanks in advance!

[PC] What are some very relaxing games? Something I can sit to play for hours without worrying about a thing

What I've already played

Stardew Valley + Modded Stardew Valley

And since a month ago, Tiny Glades

So Im looking for something that at least has farming and or sandbox style building

Those don't have to be the only features of course, but as long as it is relaxing, that's all I care for, them being farming related or sandbox related are a bonus

[PS5] Astro bot, Sonic Generations, or Sparking zero

Upvotes

I might get either one of these 3 for my birthday so im tryna decide. I just want fun. Ive seen sparking zero and shadow generations and Astro bot play throughs so I’m just thinking now. I want the game to be replay-able, Big ( large story mode and stuff like that), and just very fun. I have been a sonic fan for a long time, a little bit of a dragon ball fan and has played Astro’s playroom before. What should I pick?

[PC] Is silent hill 2 on easy mode (easy puzzles & fight) still a hassle to complete?

I would buy this game because i like adventure games despite horror theme but if the game is hard even on easy difficulty level i give up on this title. Is ammo difficult to find? Are basic enemies stronger and more resistant than a player? Is crafting required/optional if exists? Are puzzles easy to solve? I read that this game is exceptionally difficult on normal mode (much more difficult than most games) so if I put everything on easy should i have any problems to finish this game? I'm quite good at fps games like call of duty which i finished several cod campaigns on hardened difficulty. Thanks.

[PC] Should I get Borderlands THC?

I have been looking at the Borderlands series for a while and have been hesitant to pay full price, as I'm not sure if I would be into it. I adore the art style and enjoy looter shooters (Division, Destiny and reg. shooters like Halo, Helldivers, etc). Is the Pandora's Box Collection worth it for $35? Thanks for the input, also any other (Steam) sale recommendations are appreciated.

Ready ot not

Hello, I saw a lot of reviews talking good about ready or not, so I thought maybe someone played it. From what I understood, you are SWAT and you are answering to calls w your team and you tactically prepare for it. I was wondering what is replayability of this game and can you sank a solid amount of hours.

[PURCHASED] Elden ring is on sale (29.99 GBP) should i buy?

I'm very new to souls games and third person sword combat - my only experience being Zelda OOT, BOTW and TOTK. I was particularly good at the timings and the parrying aspect of totk and botw, and found the swordplay quite enjoyable. I've just finished rdr2, which was my first PROPERLY 'mature' game, and I now want to branch out, and lots of people say Elden Ring is the epitome of soulslike/swordslashyshingshang gaming.

Lemme know what you think.

Sekiro or Metaphor Refantazio?

I’m torn between picking up Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Metaphor: ReFantazio this sale, but I can only afford one right now. I’m hoping to get some advice on which game might be the better pick for me.

For context, here are some games I’ve played and enjoyed: Elden Ring, Black Myth Wukong, Baldur's Gate 3, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Persona 3 Portable, and Persona 5. I love a good challenge, unique storytelling, and games with engaging combat or meaningful exploration.

Sekiro’s focus on precise combat and its reputation as a punishing but rewarding experience really intrigues me, especially since I enjoyed Elden Ring. But I also love the JRPG vibe, art style, and depth of storytelling in games like Persona 5, so Metaphor’screative and distinct approach looks equally appealing.

If you’ve played either or both, what would you recommend? Which game do you think offers better value, considering I can only pick one for now?

Thanks in advance for helping me decide!
