"What can I run" and "Will this game run" posts will be allowed to be posted at any time. PLEASE USE THE APPROPRIATE FLAIR! I have added two new flair tags for game suggestions.
I have updated the bot to comment on every PC and upgrade advice flair for people to include a budget and location --- also add your specs if you are upgrading an existing PC. Please do this, I hate removing posts because users give no information that is helpful.

Grandma has i3 3220 cpu ( Intel ,1155 socket ) , it has some sort of igpu on it.
I am not aware of full pc specs , however it's working "slow", grandma doesn't want to buy new pc.
Is there any better CPU with better igpu on it that I could just find in some junk sales on ebay or something and simply plug it in for better performance? I think it's gen 7 Igpu Ivy Bridge (22nm) CPU.
I am not familiar with Intel but I know they change mobo alot basically for every generation unlike AMD so the mobo is the issue there but I do not want to replace it .

Hi, so I just recently upgraded my pc, it had an a8-8650b processor with 8 gigs of ram (6.9 usable) and its own integrated r7 graphics card and a PW of 240w (i live in pakistan btw),
the pc is a pre built and taking it to shops around me, I learned that not much else could be done with the system since if I wanted to change the processor, I would have to change the power supply and motherboard so i was recommended to just buy a new custom system.
I did not have the budget for that currently (country's in a bit of an economic crisis) so i just opted to get the best gpu installed in my current system which turned out to be a gtx 970 (was also offered a 750 ti but wanted to test this one out first)
I started running some games with this setup and yea i learnt that my cpu is bottlenecking my gpu so some games make the cpu reach 100% while the gpu remains at about 45~% utilization and that leads to crashes
one of my drives is a small ssd (where windows is installed) while i have a 500gb hdd where i store my games so one of my friends advised me to run games on the ssd instead but i still reach about 42~ frames on most games i play
Any advice on how i can potentially optimize this or maybe i should downgrade to the 750 ti?

Should I be worried at all? Like overexerting my monitor's or my gpu's capabilities? I know my gpu is fine but a lot of my hardware is heavily outdated so not sure if incompatibility may be an issue here...
/-/-/
Onn. Model: 100002487 60Hz
(I've seen other same-model 75Hz monitors online, but I doubt this is one since it was defaulted to 60Hz until I used nvcp)
/-/-/
GTX 1660 SUPER
Amd FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core (4 cores, 8 threads)
16gb Ddr3
Cheap motherboard that is heavily outdated and probably has more issues than the decade old bronze corsair power supply (sorry idr their models)
/-/-/
I play the game at medium-high settings—a.o. off, model & effects low, a.a. to high, filtering to 8x.

My pc has an intel core i3-3220 processor, 8 Gigs of ram, and a gt 730 4-gigabyte DDR3 model for the GPU. I was looking for some games which have a good story and decent graphics, such as Far Cry 3 or Alan Wake. So please suggest some games which I can run smoothly on my pc.

Nephew wants to use his money he's saved this year to get his first gaming PC. I'd like to find him something under 200 that is compatible with windows 11 if at all possible. I'm going to hook him up with a GPU so it doesn't need to have one of those. He can go a little higher than that but is trying to save some money to buy games. He mostly plays fortnite and things like that right now. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I built my first (and only) gaming PC in 2017. I replaced it with a zephyrus g14 a couple years ago, but I feel that this build still has some life left. Even in its current form, it's pretty capable for most of my needs. It's been collecting dust for a while, but I decided to revive it to test out daily driving debian 12, maybe run some home server stuff, and see how capable it still is with different games.
Here's the current build specs:
motherboard: B250m Pro-VDH
cpu: i5-7500
gpu: MSI GeForce GTX 1050TI gaming X 4gb vram
ram: 2x8gb ddr4-2666mhz
PSU: 550W, don't remember exact specs beyond that
case: corsair carbide 400c
I've recently had the itch to build a new PC. I don't really need one though, so I think just tinkering with this machine could scratch that itch without burning a ton of money.
For this mobo, i7-7700k is the end of the line for CPU upgrades. I'm wondering how much would be reasonable to spend on one of these today? I've seen some listings around ~$70 (usd) on ebay
I'm also considering a GPU upgrade, but not sure if there's much room to grow without buying a new Power supply, at which point I should probably just do a full new build. Is there a card that could work well within the constraints of this system, that's also a decent upgrade from the 1050ti, that's also less than $200 or so? Orr alternatively, maybe I just buy a more powerful PSU now, then I have it down the line when I'm ready for a full new rebuild?
Thanks!

So I was wondering what good games can I play on my surface pro 4 I'm getting it on Monday and want to try different PC games it is the i5 model with 8gb of RAM and Intel HD 520 graphics, I know only older games work and has anyone tried emulation on it like PSP or PS2 if so how well do games run on he emulators. Also how well does cloud streaming work like Xbox or Nvidia streaming.

I want to run stuff like ninja gaiden master collection, dragon’s dogma dark arisen, devil may cry 3, older shmups, grim dawn, Titan quest.
I already own a ps5, but don’t want to continue with consoles since I don’t like newer game design and with the release of the pro, have no interest of spending $1000 CAD on the consoles in the future.
I like how PC embraces the legacy of games and offers stuff like free online, game sharing, etc.. anyways I’m looking at including the rtx 3050 in my build, thoughts?

PC specs Intel Celeron N4500 2 cores/2 threads UHD graphics SSD Equipped +8gb ram Win 11(Tiny 11 Installed)
This might be the lowest of the low spec out there(was kinda scammed by hp for selling such a low quality laptop in 2024,instead of any of the core 12th gen series ,but you have to work with what you're given as a 1st year comp sci student for now)looking for some nice 3D platformers,in the style of super mario, spongebob and what not, beat em ups are also fine, only been able to play and finish remember me and batman arkham city on this laptop,so hence why want something cartoony and lightweight,I tried youtube for suggestions, but mostly redirected me to 2D ones, the only other I played on this was my childhood game WALL-E from the ps2,since it had a pc port,so old ones are also fine

a friend of mine gifted me the game for Christmas, I'm getting stable 60fps, but at certain times the game completely freezes for a second or two and then goes on as if nothing happened, I tried checking it with Afterburner, and it looks like the GPU randomly drops to 0 when the game freezes, I'm not sure how accurate is Afterburner. This only happened to me with this game, other games with similar graphical demands have no problems
