Historically we have not allowed any self promotion. We wanted to get user feedback on what you want to see here. Things like bands playing, special events, pet adoption, new businesses opening, etc. might be interesting with certain guardrails. Please let us know your ideas.

This subreddit is back after being closed for awhile by Reddit for lack of moderation.

I'm hoping we can get it going again and it be a really great place to talk about Rock Hill.

Hello /r/RockHill. We have a few announcements:

• We now allow all of York County content. This was voted on by the sub membership. This includes Fort Mill, York, Tega Cay, Lake Wylie, etc.
• We have new post flairs for each city if you choose to flair it as a city and not under the other topics
• We also have added user flairs for each city as well

I don't really see any subs for Fort Mill (a tiny one with 100 users), York, or York County in general. Should we expand the sub to allow topics about anything in York County? We can't rename the sub from /r/rockhill but we can allow more content in it.
