Daily Thread Daily Thread #1 - December 26, 2024

This daily thread is for all members who are pregnant after a previous pregnancy or infant loss. How are you?

We want to foster a sense of community, which is why we have a centralized place for most daily conversation. This allows users to post and get replies, but also encourages them to reply to others in the same thread. We want you to receive help and be there for others at the same time, if possible. Most milestones should go here, along with regular updates. Stand alone posts are Mod approved only and have set requirements.

5w6d. Spent the morning of Christmas Eve in the ER because of some troubling spotting. Everything looks “fine” however my HCG is high enough that they would usually see a heartbeat and fetal pole which they didn’t. It’s not impossible that everything will be fine but I’m just not hopeful as my last pregnancy stopped growing around this point. Of course my husband’s cousin announced her healthy 15 week pregnancy at Christmas dinner. It just emphasized what a difficult year I’ve had with one loss and one question mark. Just really feeling sorry for myself this morning.

I am in the exact same boat. Lost a pregnancy last month at exactly 5w. Got pregnant immediately after and I’m 5w3d today and I’m bleeding. I’m all the way across the country from where I live at my parents for the holidays, so I can’t even go to the doctor to get blood levels checked until I get back home. I’m crossing my fingers for you. For us both.
