You don't need credentials to shill for evil men seeking evil things for evil reasons, you only need to be like Matt Walsh an inhuman monster. The right loves monsters then they claim to have values.
The right does have values, they have exact values for how much owning a human should be.
a medical board that so full of redundant, unnecessary red tape, beaurocracy, and over-regulation that the supply of doctors is low. half the shit in this has NOTHING to do with the ability of a doctor to provide adequate care.
The overregulation of the healthcare industry by lobbying is why we have the most insane healthcare costs in the US
Yes we should do away with the medical boards and go back to the days of patent medicine. Can't wait to be able to buy MMS and horse pills from Facebook mom groups.
If you want to clear up some useless red tape, eliminate the reduce the profit motive. Then I'm with you. If you want to defund and abolish institutions altogether, then you're just plain dumb.
I wouldnt replace it because IT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING, it doesnt need replacing because its a money PIT
Medical school ensures competent doctors, they can even issue diplomas that double as a license, because graduating med school and being liscnesed by some arbitrary government guidelines.....well theres not really a stretch there
and if a doctor is guilty of malpractice, you dont need a fucking dedicated medical board to discipline him, THATS WHY WE HAVE COURTS AND A CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM
The medical boards are 100000% just a redundant waste of tax money of systems we ALREADY have in place.
they exist ONLY to make the barrier to entry into medical care higher, and consequently drive medical care costs through te roof
I didn't miss the point, I asked you to confirm before I just assumed.
So instead of requiring a residency where a doctor or surgeon practices under the supervision of a professional you would have them finish med school then go straight to practicing/cutting. You would have a system where once you finish med school you would become a doctor for life, with no governing body responsible to ensure you've maintained practice and continued your education. Instead of professional experts who are trained and practice medicine themselves who have the ability to remove someone's ability to practice medicine. The only method for punishing a doctor would be to sue them financially, you would leave no way to take away someone's ability to practice medicine. What about the school. Would there be some way for the government to determine the education was legitimate? Who in the government now determines the school is a real medical school and not a mail order homeopathy academy? Or do we just wait for someone with enough money to hire a lawyer to sue when thier kid gets gangrene and is treated with especially oils, and trust that the 94 year old judge who learned to treat a cold with onions in his socks is going to rule with sense? Just curious

yes, and id also make residency a part of medical school since the fact they are seperate is stupid. although residency would mostly just be for doctors who do things that are invasive

i see where ur coming from but that shouldn't be a government issue....I have broken many computers in my life.... should I get my ability to be an electrical engineer taken away? You can practice, but if you kill someone youll just be in jail, and then have no customers.... so i dont see a problem there.
What about the school. Would there be some way for the government to determine the education was legitimate?
Who determines if my engineering degree is legitimate? My school has to go through some bullshit arbitrary qualifications for "accreditation". To my knowledge these are mostly performative and not based on anything...just more bureaucracy, but if we can make accreditation actually.....MEANINGFUL, i dont have an issue with accrediting med school as well, just like any college
Who in the government now determines the school is a real medical school and not a mail order homeopathy academy?
I mean... government approval of schools comes down to who bribes them, not by adhering to any standards. Unfortunately education is largely a compromised institution, so I dont see this last point as meaningful. But again, if accreditation makes you sleep better (even though its meaningless), we can do that sure
That's the same authority that's throttling internships to reduce doctor supply, right? Last I checked there are people with medical degrees that have been waiting 10+ years for the next step to become a doctor.
You don't belive that protecting against medical fraud should be the responsibility of government. You think things will be better for us when "the elites" can sell us leaves from thier back yard for $100 and claim they cure cancer because there's no institution to say "you can't do that" government has a place.
Getting a degree is a LOT easier than passing the boards.
of course it is, when you have lobbyists telling lawmakers to implement a bunch of bullshit that doesnt affect the ability of doctors to provide adequate care, its a wonder we have any doctors at all
you dont need to be fucking einstein to put a bandaid on a kids knee on the playground
like doctors have to have certain certifcations depending on where they are and what type of medicine they perscribe. Like 17 for differing types of painkillers, sleep medicine, prenatals, vitamin suplements etc.
Like..... come on thats ridiculous
Also doctors HAVE to be a part of hospitals and these weird doctor networks which is weird.
Its why you dont see mom and pop trauma units
On top of all their various insurance and stuff they are required to have
Its just alot of red tape that has zero impact on the ability to deliver care
