says the guy who wants to tax me into poverty, take my guns, force me to make decisions about my health I dont want, and not allow me to choose what school I can send my children to

pretty sure I could dig up some tweets about your people supporting the enslavement of Israel as well

When did I say any of that?? But I’ll bite.

•Taxes = public works. Any functioning adult gets that. The real thieving poverty-inducers are corporate - squeezing the working poor at both ends, including literally billions in wage theft and price gouging.

•Guns are used to kill innocent people. Every developed nation in the world understood that decades ago. And then there’s us.

•Only when your healthcare choices put others in danger. Do you also bitch about traffic laws?

•Only when your “school” = religious indocrination that undermines the entire concept of education, Mr. Boko Haram.

•That “enslaving Israel” bit is brand fucking news to me.

Ironic that the people talking about being "forced" to male healthcare choices they don't want are also the same ones forcing women to risk their lives because of some bullshit religious dogma. Meanwhile, they also "force" school choice into others by "legally embezzling" public-school dollars into the pockets of charter school and executives while at the same time decimating our public school system.

Wow hey you know who is taxing you to death? The Republicans. The tax breaks for the wealthy fall on you to pick up the slack. Democrats want to spend tax money on the tax payer, and occasionally the Republicans will get out of the way so that actually happens. Like the infrastructure bill that Republicans all voted against, then take credit for lol 🙄

Have no idea what you are talking about as far as not being able to choose schools?? Just sounds like the usual dumbass fear and hate mongering on far right media that you are obviously listening to. It’s the Republicans that are banning books and words ffs and dumbing down the curriculum.

”Take my guns” yeah it’s so weird how you say that like it’s all guns. The only guns that ever come up for discussion are automatic rifles. And mark my words, with the moves the Republicans have made, it will be them who takes the guns. They can’t install a full-on oligarchy or fascist state and let you keep them. They might blame the Democrats, like they blame them for everyfuckingthing under the sun. Scapegoat them. But it will be because the populace having guns is not something they want if you ever figure out what is actually going on.

no, i want spending cuts. the tax-funded stuff i beneft from is not and likely will NEVER be proportional to my taxed income. Id benefit MORE from it in my bank account, then paying toll roads, id come out ahead.

but nope, i aint on any welfare, and employer provided insurance covers my needs.

I wish i did not have to be a single issue voter, I personally blame our stupid political system, but i will always without hesitation vote for whoever 1) lowers taxes, 2) guts spending, 3) reduces government power

Republicans have dropped the ball on number 3 lately, but their desire to destroy the IRS gives me a throbbing erection

If you think any nation can function without taxes you’re high as a kite. Your taxes pay the people to legislate. That being said, wouldn’t it be cool if we the people were legislating? Writing laws and making decisions directly.

-1

u/Technical_Anxiety_41 Feb 11 '23

Your taxes pay the people to legislate.

so.....when does that start to happen?

it aint happening now

3

u/ChingusMcDingus Feb 11 '23

They’re being paid still soooo. Also your taxes pay for the military. Also your taxes pay to fix every single road and keep street lights on and ensure we have workers to help with general public welfare.

I agree we spend money on a bunch of stupid shit like war and corporate subsidies. Meanwhile we don’t spend enough on meaningful shit like education and modern infrastructure.

Again, direct legislation would be dope.

You don't need credentials to shill for evil men seeking evil things for evil reasons, you only need to be like Matt Walsh an inhuman monster. The right loves monsters then they claim to have values.

The right does have values, they have exact values for how much owning a human should be.

Credentials are controlled by the authority.

10

u/Kr155 Feb 10 '23

AN authority, not THE Authority.

In this case a medical board after a process to make sure you're qualified to be a medical professional.

-1

u/Technical_Anxiety_41 Feb 10 '23

a medical board that so full of redundant, unnecessary red tape, beaurocracy, and over-regulation that the supply of doctors is low. half the shit in this has NOTHING to do with the ability of a doctor to provide adequate care.

The overregulation of the healthcare industry by lobbying is why we have the most insane healthcare costs in the US

1

u/Kr155 Feb 11 '23

Yes we should do away with the medical boards and go back to the days of patent medicine. Can't wait to be able to buy MMS and horse pills from Facebook mom groups.

If you want to clear up some useless red tape, eliminate the reduce the profit motive. Then I'm with you. If you want to defund and abolish institutions altogether, then you're just plain dumb.

1

u/Technical_Anxiety_41 Feb 12 '23

i want to abolish institutions that only exist becasue of lobbying and not to provide any utility

1

u/Kr155 Feb 12 '23

only exist becasue of lobbying and not to provide any utility

And you believe that describes state medical boards... do you have something else you would replace that with?

1

u/Technical_Anxiety_41 Feb 12 '23

yes, youre missing the point....

I wouldnt replace it because IT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING, it doesnt need replacing because its a money PIT

Medical school ensures competent doctors, they can even issue diplomas that double as a license, because graduating med school and being liscnesed by some arbitrary government guidelines.....well theres not really a stretch there

and if a doctor is guilty of malpractice, you dont need a fucking dedicated medical board to discipline him, THATS WHY WE HAVE COURTS AND A CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM

The medical boards are 100000% just a redundant waste of tax money of systems we ALREADY have in place.

they exist ONLY to make the barrier to entry into medical care higher, and consequently drive medical care costs through te roof

1

u/Kr155 Feb 13 '23

I didn't miss the point, I asked you to confirm before I just assumed.

So instead of requiring a residency where a doctor or surgeon practices under the supervision of a professional you would have them finish med school then go straight to practicing/cutting. You would have a system where once you finish med school you would become a doctor for life, with no governing body responsible to ensure you've maintained practice and continued your education. Instead of professional experts who are trained and practice medicine themselves who have the ability to remove someone's ability to practice medicine. The only method for punishing a doctor would be to sue them financially, you would leave no way to take away someone's ability to practice medicine. What about the school. Would there be some way for the government to determine the education was legitimate? Who in the government now determines the school is a real medical school and not a mail order homeopathy academy? Or do we just wait for someone with enough money to hire a lawyer to sue when thier kid gets gangrene and is treated with especially oils, and trust that the 94 year old judge who learned to treat a cold with onions in his socks is going to rule with sense? Just curious

yes, and id also make residency a part of medical school since the fact they are seperate is stupid. although residency would mostly just be for doctors who do things that are invasive

The only method for punishing a doctor would be to sue them financially, you would leave no way to take away someone's ability to practice medicine.

i see where ur coming from but that shouldn't be a government issue....I have broken many computers in my life.... should I get my ability to be an electrical engineer taken away? You can practice, but if you kill someone youll just be in jail, and then have no customers.... so i dont see a problem there.

What about the school. Would there be some way for the government to determine the education was legitimate?

Who determines if my engineering degree is legitimate? My school has to go through some bullshit arbitrary qualifications for "accreditation". To my knowledge these are mostly performative and not based on anything...just more bureaucracy, but if we can make accreditation actually.....MEANINGFUL, i dont have an issue with accrediting med school as well, just like any college

Who in the government now determines the school is a real medical school and not a mail order homeopathy academy?

I mean... government approval of schools comes down to who bribes them, not by adhering to any standards. Unfortunately education is largely a compromised institution, so I dont see this last point as meaningful. But again, if accreditation makes you sleep better (even though its meaningless), we can do that sure

u/Voat-the-Goat Feb 10 '23

That's the same authority that's throttling internships to reduce doctor supply, right? Last I checked there are people with medical degrees that have been waiting 10+ years for the next step to become a doctor.

6

u/Kr155 Feb 10 '23

Maybe Republicans in congress could propose an increase in Medicare funded residency slots.

-1

u/Voat-the-Goat Feb 10 '23

Because this sub is about more government control?

0

u/Kr155 Feb 11 '23

You don't belive that protecting against medical fraud should be the responsibility of government. You think things will be better for us when "the elites" can sell us leaves from thier back yard for $100 and claim they cure cancer because there's no institution to say "you can't do that" government has a place.

2

u/stataryus CA Feb 10 '23

Getting a degree is a LOT easier than passing the boards.

It’s called having standards; and whether they know it or not, the almost-victims of incompetent doctors are VERY thankful for them.

1

u/Technical_Anxiety_41 Feb 10 '23

Getting a degree is a LOT easier than passing the boards.

of course it is, when you have lobbyists telling lawmakers to implement a bunch of bullshit that doesnt affect the ability of doctors to provide adequate care, its a wonder we have any doctors at all

you dont need to be fucking einstein to put a bandaid on a kids knee on the playground

1

u/Reasonable_Anethema Feb 10 '23

You haven't looked for a job recently have you?

Not having a PhD in medicine and 10 years work in trauma emergency rooms means you're not fit to be a school nurse.

Business has lost their god damned minds.

u/Technical_Anxiety_41 Feb 10 '23

bunch of buillshit

1

u/stataryus CA Feb 10 '23

“Implement a bunch of bullshit” like what?

1

u/Technical_Anxiety_41 Feb 10 '23

like doctors have to have certain certifcations depending on where they are and what type of medicine they perscribe. Like 17 for differing types of painkillers, sleep medicine, prenatals, vitamin suplements etc.

Like..... come on thats ridiculous

Also doctors HAVE to be a part of hospitals and these weird doctor networks which is weird.
Its why you dont see mom and pop trauma units

On top of all their various insurance and stuff they are required to have

Its just alot of red tape that has zero impact on the ability to deliver care

11

u/RoboticJello Feb 10 '23

Matt Walsh has recently said we should kill all the homeless people (source). Matt Walsh is the furthest human being from god. He is scum of the earth.

4

u/stataryus CA Feb 10 '23

IMO saying ALL child-bearing people should be married and having kids starting at 16 is FAR worse.

2

u/dragonfliesloveme Feb 10 '23

Reminds me of the Nazi regime saying they needed to get rid of the physically and mentally impaired (and they did get rid of some of them)

-5

u/Alpine_Actual Feb 10 '23

Them “Hey you can’t just want laws and stuff without any formal education or degree” also them “I’ve never even held that gun but we should ban them!”

You guys on both sides are exactly the same
