Why don’t my crew mate abilities work? I’m trying to beat garp challenge eneru but I can’t get rid of the special bind. I’ve tried using every character I have that’s supposed to remove special bind on themselves but it never works.

If it's on stage 2 then they won't work because they also get binded which doesn't let them activate, even once it's removed

But it also doesn’t work on the last stage and it’s the same with every single unit. I’ve seen some YouTube guides on the same stage and for them it works perfectly but when I use the exact same unit it just doesn’t work. I can’t clear any hard stages if I can’t figure out why the characters won’t work.

I don’t know what the stages do but are the units being “fear”ed or sailor despaired, whichever name you prefer? Like they kinda get the despair effect on their unit icon? That disables their sailor abilities. Gotta use a unit that resists that or find another way (most units that have it get it from rr key lb+ so it isn’t easily accessible)

So it’s the key. I used it and it worked. Waste of a key for one stage but I guess I know now thanks.

Enel does give your crewmates sailor despair, which takes away their sailor abilities. You can get around this with switch abilities like Luffy/Zoro and Shira/Mansherry or support abilities to remove special bind.

Nami/Sanji resists despair, takes away stun and special bind so they work great for PSY and DEX teams.
