Started playing One Piece Treasure Cruise 6 years later, about 2 weeks in, here's what I've got (first image is just the strongest I've leveled up so far, rest are sorted by Get Date):

I only later realized I did all the easy daily raids.

What units should be the priority here?

Right now my thought is: Sell nearly all non-Straw Hat story grunts even if the game tells me they're rare @3 stars, Limit Break whatever is considered top tier (if any are that good, and I'll read up on how it works), then level up and work on sockets and specials (maybe wait for an event to help with this?).

Are the friend points at least good for Rayleigh points? Or do people feed the dupes, or spend on Boosters instead? I'll keep it below 20000 from here on...

Yeah basically any 3* and lower units are completely useless, the only potentially useful ones are the story strawhats that evolve into higher level units (and even then robin is the only one that really might see use but I’d keep the others just in case). If limit breaking is something you can do (like have the exp items to max levels and the lb items to lb units) then do that too. You gotta level up before limit breaking so do that first. Leveling special is probably the absolute most important aspect of getting units to be useful so prioritize that the most, sockets are good as well, make sure to have enough for lv 3 despair, lv 3 bind, and lv5 autoheal on any crew (the others being damage reduction, orb chance, and special cooldown). In the weekend all constantly available skillbooks are available so it would be a good chance to level those specials.

Friend points only give you units worth 1 or 2 raypoints, it’s an extremely slow and inefficient way to farm raypoints, the fastest and most efficient f2p way is to farm GPU in the character recruitment (Golden pound usopp) as he sells for 10 points and is only 5 stam (or 10 for 2 copies) and the stage gives super efficient (but slow) player exp if you want to farm player levels that way. Player level farming is only really relevant to increase max crew cost and max stamina.

I’m sure some spend on boosters, some don’t spend at all and I pull on units but that’s for my own fun project of maxing all friend point unit supports (which are almost all awful with the exception of like van der decken). It doesn’t really matter if you spend it constantly, it fills up and the units aren’t particularly helpful so leaving it unspent would also be fine.

Thank you very much! I had no idea that's what people meant by GPU, I remember it being a great unit from the past to delay enemies and was a solid INT unit before. I can definitely farm that. I'm sure the booster units I have will drain but once I figure out which units are worth raising I'll go in the order you've described.

Are there limited time events where leveling specials really should be done or is any time as good as any so long as you have those skillbooks?

Uh we just like a day ago got the permanent skill up to 36\% rates which means it’s better to do it during nonboosted tumes, but if we’re like japan that means x2 and x3 and all are basically gone forever. We’ll get 100\% skill up during big events but outside of that there’s no rate boosting. Now global isn’t a straight copy of japan on things and the change literally just happened so we can’t be sure if x2 is dead or not, we probably can’t safely determine that for a couple months but for now I’d probably just feed as is if you need/want them sooner and otherwise hold on just in case. If it doesn’t happen, then just feed, if it does, then great we still have something worth saving for.
