Can someone explain why Bandai is so stingy with the Chain Boost? Highest we have is +1.1 with Cracker and Raid O-Soba. (If we don't count the v3 Law since his boost works a bit different.) With +1.1 you get to 3.6x at the last hit but if you use someone like v2 Big Mom or Shanks Crew you can easily acquire 3.5x for 5 of the units in the team. I find it really weird that chain boost comes in low amounts.

Honestly I like it how it is. You can do a lot to manipulate your chain: boost, set, sugar transformation, chain multiplier, chain boosting captains. The highest I've seen is 72.35x, so I wouldn't say you can't reach high numbers :)

Yeah I am not saying you can't reach high numbers but it seems impractical to use a chain booster instead of a chain locker, so I always end up using the chain lockers instead of a chain boost.

Well for one Cracker doesn't have the highest chain boost, V2 Shira Sherry does with 1.2x

And second it's because chain boost has a higher peak than chain lock. For chain lock, that's it, that's the only manipulation you got. Very good for high damage for low # of specials.

But chain boost can be combo'd with Sugar, base chain increase (V3 Law) and chain multiplier (V2 Vivi Becca, Sanji Judge), which results in FAR higher damage peaks than just chain lock.

I think it's probably because chain boost is technically the highest solo multiplier you can get, they might not want to make it too op.

If you have V3 Law, who makes the base chain to 2.5x, chain boosters are so much more damage than chain locker. Heck, you don't even need the chain booster, he raises the ceiling to 4.0 already.
