My mind immediately went back to Mont Blanc Cricket, the descendant of Mont Blanc Noland, and his diving activity looking for the lost city of gold in the sea.

Once again, Jaya and Skypiea prove to be incredibly significant to the story as a whole: the Noland dynasty is one of adventurers and dreamers, perceived as liars or fools by their contemporaries, ostracised and condemned.

Both Cricket and Noland incarnate a broader desire to know and see what lies beyond, which is a very strong tie, from what we know so far, to the OG adventurer, Joy Boy.

The fact that Cricket's life revolves around looking for a lost continent hidden under the sea makes this connection even more apparent and interesting.

There are theories that claim Skypiea is a miniature version of the overarching lore of One Piece 🤷

When I saw that arc on tv, I was 12 not very cleaver and also it was the last chapter they aired, so I thought that was all, I couldnt be more wrong now Im 30 and still here…

Exactly! I have always thought the new G5 gigantification of Luffy looks suspiciously similar to the big shadow he projected on the clouds at the end of the fight with Enel (Cricket's reaction to it always makes me very emotional) I wouldn't be surprised if we got something similar in the grand finale after Imu's defeat (again, Imu and Enel being very closely related): the way Cricket gets the confirmation of Skypiea's existence, the new JoyBoy's return and victory brings back the lost continent from the shadow of time
