The World Government is about to Execute Order 66. Any Marines who aren't on board with the incoming cleansing are about to get got. The Sword plotline is about to go hard.

I can definitely see fractures with the marines. It's gonna be interesting to see who ends up where.

Oda has been holding Smoker back from us for something big soon, bet

I’m very curious to see why we haven’t seen any Smoker this arc, and knowing Oda there’s no way he just forgot about him so I’m really interested to see what he has cooking there

I'm so excited to see what Fujitora is going to do as I really think he will flip. I don't believe that he actually stands for what the World Government and Marines are as an entity and knows the corruption within. I'm so curious about his real motives and why he joined the marines/admirals in the first place.

sword will be the new marines after the conclusion of everything. bet they help vs imu.

I'm curious if they're going to stay "Marines" or just fully defect to the Revolutionary Army.

Hell, I don't know wether the marines are even getting out of Egghead, The Gorosei might just execute them for asking questions

You're not wrong. The World Government could consider it time right now to just be done with the Marines. They have the Seraphim, they'll have Egghead + the Mother Flame they need to reproduce ammo for Uranus, and they still have the God's Knights on top of the Gorosei. Next chapter really might be the WG declaring war on the whole world. Well, according to Vegapunk, they already did.

More revolutionaries! Divide within WG and marines might cause an actual world war now!

The Revolutionary Army numbers are definitely going to swell after this. Average people were already rioting in the streets and taking over nations just earlier in this arc when we were introduced to Sabo's new title.

Honestly, it's looking really bad for the government. They're gonna have to fight an emperor's crew (plus his followers), the revolutionary army, disgruntled marines, AND renegade pacifistas. And you KNOW people like Blackbeard will be waiting to finish off whoever wins.

I don't think it's looking really bad for them tbh. They have the pacifista, the Seraphim, the Gorosei, and the God's Knights still. The Gorosei alone could probably walk over any Yonko crew by themselves.

Exactly. Plus, i think the reason they want the mother flame so badly is cuz it’s a deterrent. Once they hold your island hostage, who’s going to fight knowing all their family back home and everything they know might get GOT?

I'm definitely expecting a Night of Long Knives type purge. Like I think the God's Knights are going to be ordered to purge most of the Marines. After all, with the Pacifista program, they don't really even need manpower any more. They'll probably kill, or try to kill, anybody not 100% on board with the plan. I'm interested to see if the Admirals will be purged with them, or which ones will still be loyal to the Gorosei.

I think everyone that isn't a Celestial Dragon is going to get axed, even if that isn't acknowledged by them. Nobody will be left except those who live on the red line, by their plans.

u/tokyogodfather2 May 26 '24

they will keep them for slave labor maybe?

7

u/Regex00 May 23 '24

Yes but no. Something that has been repeatedly mentioned is how the Marines are short on manpower. They don't have the resources on hand to gut a portion of their Navy. Most likely it will just be obedience through intimidation.

2

u/tokyogodfather2 May 26 '24

Why would the Gorosei care about not having enough insects?

3

u/saccizord May 23 '24

Can't wait for the Smoker dude to make the right decision

Also I wonder how Garp would feel about this announcement

Why does everyone keep talking about Smoker? Did i miss something?
