I remember reading long ago he actually wanted to be a shipwright since he was a child and was disappointed having to go back into assassinations. Maybe he feels he has no place in CP9.

They’ve already decided to kill every living thing…i wonder if that means every Navy member as well? Imagine them even trying to kill Kizaru? And Luffy …saving them all?

I was just about to say…i think this is foreshadowing. Luffy/Nika/Joyboy is going to become a hero by the end of Vegapunk’s story, and the whole world is going to look up to him; and Luffy - who doesn’t want to be a hero - is going to kick it off by saving Stussy and Kaku. Probably with the help of the Giant Robot and possibly Zou. And this might get Lucci’s grudging respect, or at least Stussy’s?

I think Kaku doesn't feel too comfortable at CP0. I think he liked his fake life at Galley-La, and that he kind of wants to go back, even if he doesn't admit it. So, I think he's relating to Stussy in that panel.

I think he might be having the same thoughts. Something along the lines of :

"She's questioning who she is and what she'll do next now that she's not just following vegapunk's orders. Who am I and why am I following the WG's orders?"
