If anyone still thinks g5 luffy isn't taking things seriously I don't think they are reading the same manga as me.

Also this message is the worst thing that could conceivably happen to the WG.

I feel like Oda heard the criticism lmao, I enjoy Luffy’s goofy G5 mood but this was the perfect chapter, the stone cold face into the smile plus that “I’m not letting you leave this island” was honestly super intimidating.

I always thought that Oda is a Little bit ahead of time i.e the previous chapter was not yet out when he finished drawing this chapter, but I may be mistaken

Oda definitely knew people would critize this aspect of Gear 5 but it hasn't been a time to show off Luffy angry in that state yet.

Now it is time for a big bug to get squished though!
