I know he hasn’t really changed since Wano personality-wise, but I like how, even subtlety Oda is respecting Luffy being a Yonko, cause before Luffy was always like an under dog, but this is the first time where he’s shown as a big fish in a big pond, disrespecting admirals and Gorosei alike

The physical size of Luffy in this panel played a large role here too. We always see dominant characters being massive (relative to the size you'd expect). All of the yonkou except Shanks were always drawn huge—whitebeard towering over Akainu was a good one, but even Shanks I bet has a few panels where he was drawn oversized when he was flexing. We've also seen it at times with Garp or other admirals.

This is one of the first times we've seen Luffy in a flex scene looking this big. That's a subtle communication of yonkou energy for me. He's being portrayed physically like the top fighters in One Piece.

I mean I know his DF is manipulating his size, but the choice from Oda to portray him this large over his opponents is a callback to how he likes to represent power via physical size, and right now Luffy is dwarfing Kizaru and even Saturn. Big energy.

Yeah. Like in One Piece, size alone doesn't really seem to be much of a threat to a capable fighter. Just gives them a bigger target to hit. Main reason he hasn't been squashed like the bug he is yet is because of his healing factor like you said, and his mind 'sploder preventing all but the strongest to even be able to move in his presence.

The entire premise of the arc - particularly the ongoing battle - is that Vegapunk and the Straw Hats are trying to escape from Egghead and the Marines.

I expect it’s largely due to how TCB translated it, but the idea that it’s now Kizaru and Saturn who have no escape sends chills down my spine. This is what it means to pick a fight with an emperor in-person, whether it’s Big Mom or Kaido or Shanks, and Luffy is living up to those expectations.

As for the cauterizing the wound, I don't personally believe it. We see what looks like a heart rate monitor activating in response to a flatline. Shortly before that, we see a "beep" sound effect come from his general direction.

And then we have a scientist that literally wants to develop Punk Records into something everyone in the world will be able to access, allowing them share all of the knowledge as well as to update Punk Records with new information themselves; and that probably already has work thowards this goal.

Plus, we know that he will know that the world government is escalating violence and threat to everyone in the world, obliterating whole countries.

So my theory is that

VEGAPUNK WOULD BROADCAST TO THE WORLD WHAT HE THINKS HAPPENED DURING THE VOID CENTURY.

The world is already a target, he will make everybody in the world know about the void century and in making so, removing the target on his back.

Fantastic chapter again and I am hyped for the lore drop from VP. World Government will be mad by what VP is about to reveal. A few other things from this chapter:

1. VP is dead. The lifeline monitor on the last page shows someone died and the fact that in that moment this prerecorded message is sent to the outside tells you it’s Stella. VP was to die anyway and this was Kizarus farewell, to end his suffering. This is just my headcannon though. Also, VP died smiling next to Nika. Do the satellites live on? I feel like yes, but Oda could go either way.

2. Dorry and Brogy are about to meet Luffy who is in giant form right now, why is hardly anyone talking about that? I think their meeting will be funny.

3. Bonney has command over all Kuma clones and I feel like she will join the revolutionaries rather than Luffy. This would be a huge power boost to Dragon and along with the lore VP is about to reveal will make him make his move. Finally, hopefully (Yes I’m coping). Bonney knows the revs from Kumas memories and trust them. Also, if Bonney joins Luffy on the ship as a full fledged member, what will her crew do? But who knows were they are anyway.

4. damn Luffy looked cool holding both Saturn and Kizaru. His line was just perfect.

- This information would be Caribou's only use to Blackbeard, he's got literally nothing else to stand on. I'm almost positive that this plotline ends with them killing him, and giving his DF to someone they'd consider more trustworthy.

- I initially thought this could end with Bonney getting to live the rest of her life somewhere in peace, but now its essentially confirmed that she's running with the StrawHats or Revolutionaries for the foreseeable future.

- "Luffy's my captain, y'all mfs got a problem?" To the captains of a legendary Giant Pirate crew. Boss shit.

- Little confused as to why Oda would give us the false hope of Sanji being able to really contend with Kizaru, only to have him get brushed aside effortlessly when the latter decided to get serious about ending Vegapunk. - If Oda gives us the actual message at the start of next chapter instead of going into a flashback, I'm giving up weed for 3 months.
