Googled the name... Lucci should not give him such a challenge. Zoro now is about 100 times stronger than Luffy back then. If he can oneshot King (after figuring out the flames) it makes no sense for him to fight Lucci so long. How's the guy able to stop his blades?

If memory serves, last we checked in on Zoro, the Vega Force robot was still in one piece, and the goal was to stall Lucci and Kizaru long enough for the escape plan to work, so tactics that prolong the battle rather than finish it wouldā€™ve been in Zoroā€™s favor.

Bit of a different thing from ā€œnot fighting seriously,ā€ but Zoro would still have a serious reason to not put full power into the battle

I think you are forgetting that Lucci is crazy strong. He is one of best if not strongest CP0 member, and CP0 is above all other Ciphel Pol groups. Basically one of the strongest agents of the government.

He was hyped up as a prodigy since Enies Lobby and seems to have grown a lot during the 2 years.

Yes, Luffy easily defeated him, but let's not forget Luffy is one of the strongest in the verse.

One thing that bothers me so much with one piece fans is that, they always measure protagonists power by the latest chapter but everyone else is only as strong as they first appeared. Lucci didnt just stopped and did fuck all, he got heavy haki and awakened DF. We can count on 2 hands awakened DF users.

Zoro didn't one shot King, he landed 3 attacks infused with Conquerors Haki, 2 of which were name

it makes no sense for him to fight Lucci so long

Lucci is an Awakened Zoan user, which as Crocodile explained in Impel Down means he's much harder to keep down

zoro was trained by the world's strongest for 2 years and had to overcome big hurdles ever since (same for rest of strawhats) why should Lucci be able to keep up with thus development. What great fights did he have? Which trainer?

1) We havenā€™t even seen most of the fight. 2) Almost every arc has lots of ā€œgapsā€ in the fights as the rest of the arc plays out. The last couple of chapters have taken place in less than a few minutes. Weā€™ll see most of the actual fight in the chapters to come.

Didn's Shanks leave Elbaf to look for the last poneglyph? They called him the Sun God and needed him for an emergency so I'd say that it connects to the overarching plot and the Giant's role in the Voidcentury rather than the race to Laughtale.

We did see that but back then we had no idea why IIRC. Cobraā€™s reveal IMO is just another reason. Why Imu had her photo early on, we still donā€™t know.

What I got from their conversation, Imu was also curious as to who Lili really is especially after her letting the poneglyphs out into the world. If they knew all her descendants were Ds in the first place, I donā€™t think theyā€™d last this long 800 years into the present.

The start of the incident was roughly one day ago, presuming morgans found out say, an hour later and it took 2-4 hours for news to reach the world, and some of those numbers are conservative and ignore that D&B would have needed time to prepare and set sail which is prob at least another hour - Shanks arrival and goodbye could be holding them back too - elbaf is probably less than a day away by sea, probably closer than half a day away (unless giants ships move faster for some reason) so I guess that means they might be fleeing directly to elbaf, especially as TCBs TL says thehrr herr to "pick up" the SH.

Depending on how long they spend on elbaf, they might not be too far from being hot on shanks heels too if elbaf somehow leads them to him.

Or we could be operating on Oda time again, lol. You'd think tho he couldn't have egghead > elbaf take THAT much longer than elbaf > egghead, even if hazardous conditions keep them at sea a day or two.
