in the true spirit of waiting till the absolute last second to do anything i need a treasure chest about to size of a shoebox by tomorrow morning. ideally with a lock and key.

I've seen unvarnished ones in the arts and crafts section of stores. You'd have to stain it and install a lock. Maybe Ross would have one?

So where are you burying your treasure?

yeah michaels will be my last resort if i can't find one on offerup/craigslist/marketplace by end of work.

just a gift for my players which i could just hand to them but i need to be extra

Not with lock and key, but i usually see wooden and leather, sometimes metal boxes that would fit the description at places like TJMaxx, HomeGoods, etc.

i've always felt like these are all the exact same store with different names to make some sense of superiority over the other. like the same dude setting up taco stands a few miles apart
