Since it is inside an arcade, it is a smaller track. we did recently get new carts that were outdoor carts. Due to steering issues, the usual speed that we would set them on during races is programmed a couple mph slower than they would typically be set.
I know most people on here go to the larger outdoor tracks, so I’m not sure how interested you guys would be to hear about an indoor track but why not. It’s definitely not a boring place to work- we often run into all kinds of unexpected issues and challenges.

I’m a 14-year-old from Melbourne, Australia, looking to rent a Rotax kart. I want to gain experience to eventually race my own kart. Any recommendations for rotax rentals would be appreciated.

It was one of the best days of my life! In the morning the kart had some trouble starting and when I locked the wheels when braking the kart would stall and it wouldn’t come back to life but we quickly fixed it. I think I was pretty fast considering I’m two seconds off the pace with used tires, no setup, a colder track ( the national rmc is in the summer and its winter ) and it was my first time. I also found some used rain mg tires which were in good condition so i brought them home. I still don’t have a mychron but my dad was timing my laps and i was consistently in the low 48s, I wasn’t able to do a 47 so that’s gonna be my goal for the next day. I’ll leave a video of a couple of laps so you guys can tell me where I can improve. I’m also going to buy a used go pro from a friend so i can record onboards, hopefully everything is ready for the next I go to the track. Thank you for your help!

I know Rotax recommends XPS® KART TEC KART GEAR OIL but I’ve heard a lot of people say they use ATF because of friction benefits but you have to replace more regularly. What is everyone using?
I also know Rotax recommends 100 mL but see lots of people running less oil, as little as 60 mL. Is there any reason for this?

For those who do their own maintenance, do you have a favorite brand? Are the all metal t-handles superior to the ergonomic handle?
Is the sliding or spinning function desirable?
So many options. Im hoping to get some feedback from people that mostly work on karts.
Thank you!

I go rental karting quite frequently at my local track and I was thinking of buying myself some karting gloves and shoes etc. I already have these Motorcycle shoes and was wondering if I would be allowed to wear them and if I should wear them instead of trainers?
Thanks

Has anyone found a kit for the M6 and M8 flat head socket caps to keep on hand?
I’d rather not buy individual bolts to make a complete set but I may have to go that route.
Point Karting sells individual bolts in the sizes listed on the screenshot. I’m assuming these are the most common sizes used.
