Karting Question Outdoor Kart Storage Question?

So I got my first kart about 2 months ago, but unfortunately I don’t have a garage or enclosed area to store the kart. I have been keeping it on a stand with a kart cover on it and a heavy duty tarp over that. Is there any maintenance/preventative care (other than the standard cleaning/lubing pre/post session) I can do to make sure my kart doesn’t get damaged over time? I live in Southern California so I am fortunate to have mild weather year round and don’t really need to worry about freezing temps or any extreme weather other than the occasional rain. I usually go to the track once or twice a week so the kart isn’t ever sitting still for more than a week.

Take the wheels and tires off and wrap the tires in plastic wrap. It will help keep the oils sealed in and will extend the life of the tires. WD-40 all exposed metals. SC1 or something similar on all plastic and painted metals to protect and seal. Not sure what engine you have but there is probably some maintenance you can do there as well.
