It was the framing the psychologist is focused, mostly on the effect of these crimes on IOF soldiers (the moral injury) and not the scale of brutality that has been visited upon the people of Gaza. Even he dehumanizes them, by posing them as objects of the soldiers’ narrative. He says from the get-go he still believes in the mission of the IDF, despite a mountain of evidence of their savagery.
