I was tired of feeling “unwell” and I finally got through it - with a lot of help
I lived with this turquoise color and this old hand-me-down furniture for 8 years. It was ok for a while - until it wasn’t. I decided to transform my home office/closet into a sane, clean, uncluttered space. I’m almost done now and I feel very hopeful for my mental health. And I love the space. It feels totally fresh and new and inspiring to be in.
To be totally honest, I could not have done this alone. I had a lot of help and it wasn’t cheap and took me over a month. I hired people to do things: paint the room, install an IKEA armoire, and haul away a truckload of JUNK (literally). And my parents helped me assemble my desk and my mom helped me throw so many things away. I had been working on this room for months and was very, very stuck, I often would just shut the door in despair and shame.
Not anymore.
