Check out this cool honda I found

It was faster than a mk5 supra around the track.

I bet it was. Decent chassis but the stock motor was a boat anchor.

The 2zz isn't much better either. Sure it's a great motor when it's new but the k series will out live and and out perform the 2zz for less money. And before toyota nerds give me flack, Im a bigger fan of the 3S and 4A than the zz or K series

I had a Celica GTS with 252k on it that ran like a brand new car, that 2ZZ is a masterpiece of an engine. The 1ZZ is junk but that Yamaha top end is beast mode. 40hp bump when the lift cam engages, its vtec on steroids.

Yep. I had a 2005 Lotus Elise and I stand with u/rearwindowpup. Engine is a tank.

I met a guy with an Elise back in the mid 2000s and he said the car was great, but he wished they would have gone with Honda instead of Toyota as an engine supplier because the 200hp K series in his RSX was much better.

Apples and oranges IMO. The RSX is roughly 800lbs heavier than the Elise. Mine wasn't supercharged and thinking about having additional power in that car (go-kart really) blows my mind. I have friends and know people that have done k swaps and I'll be honest, the majority of the time, it doesn't end well.
