Hi all. I hate to have to ask for help here. I have requested help from all local assistance groups and government resources in my area, but am continuing to get denied.

Amount Requested: $740, which would only cover January rent so I don't get evicted. No, I am not expecting strangers to send me hundreds of dollars. I am just trying to be transparent.

My story: I am 23yo, recently divorced, and struggling a lot with my finances. I live in a 2bd apartment with my roommate and we split rent each month ($370 per person). I have 2 cats that are my whole entire universe and my roommate has a 4 month old puppy. My roommate is having some health concerns, making them unable to work at the moment. This came out of nowhere; unfortunately it happened at the same time that I lost my student loans from school. These loans have helped me to 'comfortably' pay my rent for the past 4 years. For the first time in my life, I am about to get evicted. As I'm sure you can imagine, my anxiety is through the roof. Because of the circumstances, all of the finances are falling onto me. I am paying for twice my portion of rent, utilities, and food costs. I am paying for all 3 pets and caring for them full-time. I am urgently seeking a job that I am able to do as a disabled person. I am killing myself donating plasma twice a week and spending all day every day applying, looking, and interviewing for jobs.

So if you check out my post history you'll see that back in November I damaged my ACL and had gout flare ups out of control. I went three weeks with barely eating and drinking and pulled off an awesome 1 legged Easter bunny impression getting from my room to the washroom.

I made a post here and a lot of people offered to help, especially u/Difficult-Orchid-985 who purchased me a Brita filter and some food, which helped me get through the week and gave me the physical energy/strength to get my knee medically looked at.

My knee is still a week or two away from being good enough to use normally but I just wanted to say thank you to Difficult-Orchid-985 and this community overall for the help and support.

I genuinely hope everyone here has a merry Christmas/happy holidays and a safe, improved and healthy new year.

I had money taken out of my account I didn't have much to begin with and my breast milk has dried up slowly due to stress of sick baby in need of formula for her I don't know how long it will take to get my milk supply back and I'm running out of the free formula I got at the hospital I GOT HELP I DON'T KNOW HOW TO CHANGE FLAIR

I am a single mom with a disability. My 2 kids also live with challenges. I work part time and have multiple meetings per week regarding my kids and myself. Which makes working more even harder. I've been behind in rent for months and have applied for every assistance available in my area and been denied (mostly due too lack of funds in my area). In order to stay housed, I agreed to a court order splitting my back rent over 6 months on top of my regular monthly rent, nearly doubling it. What a solution right? I know. But I'm in dire need of help by the 29th or my building will proceed with eviction. I just need to make it until tax return season, then I will be able to pay it all off and start fresh.

My husband was laid off last month we were able to pull through but not able to pull through this month. I’ve called 211 and contacted all the communities around me and a lot are not giving rental or utility assistance appointments till Jan.2nd. There was one place I had luck with but they wanted us to get evicted first … we can’t do that we have kids that’s not an option . We had more in savings but car issues took that . Unsure what to do next . We already live beneath our means as we are a family of 5 all living in a small place and recently got approved for food stamps which helps a lot. Everything we own is second hand and even for Christmas we just got our kids one gift each . We don’t crazy spending . Just unsure where to go for now as this is our first time in this position . Hopefully last as we are both in school trying to better our future and our kids . I even called a few places today but due to the holidays they are closed. Any ideas would help. Yes we’ve been applying for jobs just a non stop no . Lots of layoffs everywhere unfortunately. If anyone can just please help us with this months utility bill which is 126.89, please we would appreciate it and just with advice on where we can general rental assistance please as it’s been a struggle as our rent is 1300 and our first unemployment check was 378 that’s not including the other bills we have like diapers wipes , insurance , and etc . I contacted my energy company and they just tell me to call 211 or that they don’t currently have any programs.

I am desperate for 50 dollars to make it to Friday until my unemployment finally starts. I’ve been furloughed since Nov 1 and have made it off savings up until this point. I have cancelled all holiday plans and plan on seeing family for new years, but I’m needing something for fuel and hopefully a few bucks for food if I have any leftover. So this year I am spending the holidays all alone because I am very sick and can't go to my grandparents house with the rest of the family and also because I have to prepare for a very important exam that might help me actually get a decent job. I have barely done anything to prepare. I feel like a cold corpse from the outside from the severe influenza, and my lungs are so tired from coughing (but it's starting to get better now at least). and the anxiety is eating me away from the inside because if I fail this, I don't know what stable option I have for the future. As we are on the verge of a new year, I got sick because I have been pushing myself so hard, and it feels burdening to complain about it to the people i know with these problems.

I had to force reset my Samsung Watch Active 4, therefore I couldn't undo downloads on Spotify. So when I started my watch again, Spotify asked me to undo downloads on other devices so I can download on it. The problem: only my computer, personal cell phone and work phone have Spotify downloads; and the limit of devices that can download is 5, right? Is there any way to solve this? For example, reset downloads in every device?

With the stress of this season, the moving parts of 4-5 apps, some health issues with my kiddo, and the cherry on top of recovering from autistic burnout, I completely spaced reserving the proper amount for my bills.

Hi all, I’m posting anonymously for privacy reasons and to keep my family from discovering this. I’m 20 years old, and I’ve grown up in a single-parent home, and while my mum isn’t physically abusive, her words and actions have had a lasting impact on my mental health, that’s gotten worse over 2024. She often uses my dad’s absence against me, makes hurtful comments, and guilt trips me constantly. She’s the definition of a narcissistic mother to a T.

Lately, it’s become unbearable for me. The negativity and constant belittling have made me cry almost every night these past couple of months. I’m working hard to improve my future—I’ve just got a job offer with the NHS and will earn £24,000 a year. Still haven’t been given a start date mind, but hopefully it will be no later than Feb. My goal is to move out by March and rent a small, safe place away from this environment.

As the title says, we just need a little help with our electric bill for this month, which is $164.76.

We have a current payment arrangement and can't add more to it. We have already asked.

If we don't pay, we'll owe the entire amount of $521.00 that's left to keep the lights on.

We're behind on rent and have an eviction hearing on Dec 26th. The complex is willing to work with us, but require just over $2000 for rent and court fees every two weeks, beginning the 26th in order to avoid eviction.

My husband started a new job this month, and his first full check is the 26th, so we'll just have enough to not kicked out, but nothing left over for electric. I work from home, so if our electric gets shut off we're completely screwed because I'm the bread winner.

We were DoorDashing for extra cash but had to stop when our car died. We'll have a car again starting this weekend, but that's too late to pay the electric.

I have Venmo and that's it.

Hi. Extremely long story short, I live in a motel room with a narcissistic mom and for far too many reasons, can't break out of the arrangement. I have a full-time job that makes me feel as though my soul is being sucked through a straw eight hours a day, five days a week. And 85% of my paycheck goes toward paying for our room, so there's not much Christmas magic going on. Not just in regards to gifts, but there's a few pieces of decor and that's it. My girlfriend and I currently aren’t able to live together because I’m unable to afford housing. Luckily, I do have some help with the VA for transitional housing for myself. She is currently crashing on a friends couch, but since her phone has been turned off and they don’t have WiFi, we’ve had to get by with one of those prepaid hotspots. She’s currently right around 2 or 3 GB remaining and we have no way to refill it. I’m not sure if simple mobile has cards for hotspot data but when I set it up a while ago 34.99 was 15gb and lasts us easily 2 weeks for texting and the rare FaceTime when we can. Hi there. My apartment complex told me we could renew our lease, but then at the end of the lease they said we couldn't because they were switching to section 8 only, with less than a few weeks for us to find a place to go. My mom (59) and I (27) and our 3 cats are staying in a motel 6, have spent upwards of 2000 now over the past few weeks. We're lucky they're lenient on checkout times, otherwise we'd already be out on the street. Its below freezing where we are. We've lost our jobs due to moving around and not having a working car, we've been applying places and have been donating plasma and selling and pawning everything we own but I weighed too little today to donate. We've called 211, no one gives vouchers where we are anymore. A guy we were doing some work for said we can stay in his basement but he has stuff down there that needs moved and we have to find a ride first. We need 47 bucks for the room tonight. If anyone can help with anything we would deeply appreciate it, more than you know. We cant afford food either after paying for the room everyday so any amount helps. We have all the main banking/cash sending apps like paypal, venmo, cash app. My mom has zelle but the account is negative 15 because the bank charged her for the account being empty too long.
