Same philosophy. If you approach her from behind and try to grab her, she will run away or possibly attack you. If you approach her from the front and introduce yourself, she will feel much more comfortable and let you slide a hand between her legs

Riding off this comment, make sure to avoid feeding any potential ducks bread. I hear they prefer corn, which doesn't have the risk of choking them. Happy ducking!

Ye bread has really low amounts of useful stuff in it so it can be dangerous for some animals if you give them to much, anything like vegetables or other plants will do the job

Important caveat: if an internet stranger has told you to, “go duck yourself,” you are not technically obligated to find and pick up a duck. It is likely this message is due to ducking autocorrect.

Aww I miss our ducks. We had one who sat outside the back door every morning waiting for me. They’re cute but they poop EVERYWHERE. I don’t miss that.

I would very much like to add that this trick does NOT work with all ducks. Especially not the rather large, white, hissing ducks that likes to bash you with its wings.

1) I am definitely not a bot. I am way too spiffy to ever be a bot… also I’m a mod here too.
2) This subreddit wants real life captured on film regardless of what it is. “If it is real and it happened it can be posted.”
