Redesigns Virginia flag redesign
The scene is from the seal on the current flag. The 6 stars represent the six states (the entirety of West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois, and portions of Ohio and Western Pennsylvania) that were birthed from Virginia. The 8 bottom stars represent the 8 presidents (George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, Zachary Taylor, and Woodrow Wilson). The 9 stripes are the Sons of Liberty flag, representing the state’s role in the American Revolution. Finally, it’s red white, and blue because America.
Emblazoned: Pales azure, gules, and argent, mullets argent, and virtue sinister with casque and breastplate, hand sinister on spear, embowed about parazonium, chains broken, foot Dexter on a tyrant with his crown cast aside.

I love it! I'd personally keep just the 6 stars, since there could always be more presidents to come out of VA in the future, and the additional 8 look a little cluttered. And then I'd realign the stars to be a rainbow arc of 3 above tyranny being slayed, and a reverse arc of 3 below.
But seriously I love the rest of the design, especially the sons of liberty stripes.

This one isn’t really a unified design, but just different parts thrown together. The only part of it that’s unique is the seal, which doesn’t stand out on the blue background. I think the stars should represent Virginia, not other states. If I recall, the Sons of Liberty were an organization based in New England, and Virginia did harbor a lot of loyalist sentiment in the running up to the Revolution. Additionally, if we were to have new presidents from VA, we’d have to change the stars each time a new one would be elected. I do like the attempt to symbolize our “Mother of Presidents/states” nickname, but the one that will last is the “Old Dominion.”
As a Virginian, I do appreciate the murder and nudity still shown, but I’m not sure this is much better than our current design. That being said, it’s a good effort!

I'm a fan of taking what's in the seal, unwrapping it, and expanding it. It lets you make a distinct flag while keeping parts of the old one.

Don’t listen to this idiot, it’s a fantastic flag. We should have MORE dead tyrants and titties on our flag, never less.

It looks really good, but one of my pet peeves is when people try and bring the United States as a whole down to the state level. Virginia derives her right to exist from a Royal Charter granted over a century before the founding of the United States. To my mind, from a symbolism standpoint, the state flags should have their symbolism drawn from the states themselves, and not the broader Union, which is, if not in reality, but in principle, a product of the states.
It’s weird, its not a criticism of the flag itself, which I like, but more what is being implied, implicit or not, that the states are subordinate to the Union. I’m not saying that was your intent or anything, obviously you would know better than I.
Thank you for reading this regularly scheduled ranting from a crazed idealist.

Love it! I’m curious why you went with 14 stars.

To quote þe description:
The 6 stars represent the six states (the entirety of West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois, and portions of Ohio and Western Pennsylvania) that were birthed from Virginia. The 8 bottom stars represent the 8 presidents (George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, Zachary Taylor, and Woodrow Wilson).
It just so happens þat 8+6=14. Þere’s one set of 6 stars and anoþer set of 8 stars. Simple maþ.

It's the letter thorne, it makes the sound "th". It's the 28th letter of the alphabet after the ampersand. Most members of the US stopped using thorne, but it's still used in parts of England, Washington, Kansas, and Wisconsin. It's a dying letter

Þat's a really nice flag. My favorite Virginia redesign do far, þough I do have to admit þat I þink þe 8 stars below representing þe presidents are a little cluttered

maybe replace the 8 bottom stars with 4 stars so all stars on the flag add to 10, which is what state Virginia is. The amount of presidents from VA over time will grow so it could clutter

How’s this?

nice but I do like the symbolism of 6 stars for the 6 states to get independence from VA so if that could be kept would be great
