Fictional Fictional Meditteranean-ish Flag Feedback

Hey everyone, I'm making a flag for a fictional country (first image), and I'd like your feedback on the flag I designed. The waves represent the ocean, the circle is the sun, and the upside-down V with the other lines represents the Alps. Any other ideas (palette, symbols, design, etc.) to help are appreciated.

This is the map of the fictional country, covering Portugal, Spain, Andorra, Southern France, Corsica, Monaco, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria's panhandle, Italy, San Marino, Slovenia, Istria, Zagreb, some counties on the coast of Croatia, and the Hungarian county of Zala.

Flag of the nation (names are also appreciated!)

I like the flag, but the dark green just doesn't really look right on it. maybe could switch it to a white or a lighter green?

Agreed on changing up the green used. I'm not a big fan of the border around the edge personally, I'd remove that.
