I don't see how seeing someone who is ethnically indian or pakistani or something and being reminded of a traditional food from their culture is racist. I'm not sure if that's the implication.

It isn't the implication. He wasn't claiming racism or anything, just saying it was funny. Sometimes things are innocent and untainted by tumblrinaction
