Saw these dudes live, they hold it down; that drummer is so in the pocket, bassist does great electronic elements too, definitely hear the downtempo/triphop influence - with the world music it sounded a bit like Thievery.

That’s what I thought as well, immediately thought it could’ve been a thievery song. especially with that backing track. Sounds like a good show.

I checked them out for a bit at Portola and they were a nice vibe…wasn’t expecting face masks during the performance so that was cool.

People saying they’re Khruangbin influenced like that’s a bad thing

Not triphop. They are good but too “influenced “ by Khruangbin.

Meh. They ape Khruangbin in every way possible without being authentically themselves. Not a fan.

Also, this is most certainly not trip-hop.
