Unrealized Smoked Cheerios

I had a dream that I smoked cheerios with a cocktail smoker then served them with chocolate milk. It was such a hit I ate a ton and became obsessed with the smoked cheerios so I made them into granola bars. They contained:

  • Smoked cheerios
  • Maple syrup
  • Candied orange pieces
  • Dark chocolate chunks
  • Almonds

Haven't tried it, but I do own a cocktail smoker so maybe?

Unrealized Peachamato

Last night's dream, I was asking someone what they were eating and they said, "Peachamato!"

Mozzarella pearls, grape tomatoes, balsamic glaze, fresh peach slices, basil leaves, peach jam, and black pepper on flatbread points.

Kinda want to try it.

Unrealized “So That’s Where the Apples Went!” Dessert

A dessert made by my dining hall. Two slices of vanilla cake with baked cinnamon apples inbetween them like a sandwich. They called it “So That’s Where the Apples Went!” and I recall it was pretty dank even though I don’t like baked apples.

Unrealized Please help me create this Massachusetts themed breakfast sandwich

I dreamt I found an ad for a new Dunkin Donuts breakfast sandwich that they only released in Massachusetts. The ad was “it’s gonna be MASSive” in Dunkin font and went on to show a sausage egg and cheese sandwich.

I’m still drooling over the sandwich description. The muffin part was a cross between a McGriddle and a lobster cheddar biscuit from red lobster. It wasn’t as crumbly as the biscuit nor as chewy as the mcgriddle.

I was about to move my family across country for it when I found out the special only went from May 3rd to November 24th 😔

Y’all I need to eat one of these. How do I make the bread part??? Please help

Unrealized Vodka salad

Had a dream last night that my husband and I were having cocktails with a former friend and she ordered a drink called vodka salad- it was literally lettuce in a glass with vodka poured over it. She claimed she drank them all the time because they were healthy.

Unrealized Buffalo cheddar pancakes/ Cheddar "Softers"

Waking up this afternoon, I had a dream I was going to bake some pancakes for a class of students (I'm not a teacher in real life) but I had mixed up my bag of "pancake ingredients" with a bag of "buffalo chicken seasoning"

So I made these savory pancakes that tasted similar to spicy cheez-its, but with the softness and texture of biting into a pancake.

I remember calling them "softers" because, unlike cheez-its or other crackers, they don't "crack".

Unrealized Strawberry Potato Gelatin

Had a dream last night that my roommate made a strawberry potato gelatin. In the dream logic, something about the potato starch helped it achieve a firmer texture and made the color a little more opaque.

It was placed in a big round jello mold to set, then frosted like a cake with strawberry frosting, and dusted with shredded coconut.

Unrealized Pepsi Silli

dreamt my mom handed me a clear pepsi called “Pepsi Silli” because she didn’t like the flavor. It was in a transparent can that had a note on it that said “Milk is in 0/3 of the denied” in a stylized font. I interpreted it to mean there is no milk despite common misconceptions that Pepsi Silli has milk in it. The flavor was like unflavored la croix with electrolytes in it

Unrealized Boiled onions make apple juice

In my dream there was a massive scandal because it turned out all the major producers of apple juice were actually boiling onions for a really long time to make a kind of juice. People had gone so long without REAL apple juice that we all thought this onion water was what apple juice tasted like, and when a company called AppleCorp started selling real apple juice, it was wildly unpopular because it didn't taste as good as the fake onion water juice.

There was a sub-controversy that the pulp in orange juice with pulp was made by inserting mushrooms into the oranges while they grew, but that died down when Mother Theresa came back to life and said that mushroom pulp was what Jesus wanted.

10/10 dream, I have an intense craving for apple juice.

Unrealized Dessert flavored sparkling water

I had a dream that I was part of a “ladies who lunch” group and all of them were trying to lose weight and were raving about new dessert-themed sparkling waters with no sugars or calories. They all went around and mentioned their favorite flavors: tiramisu, cookies and cream, strawberry cheesecake, key lime pie, Boston cream pie, and other weird flavored seltzers.

Unrealized Pizzaghurt

Pizzaghurt (pizza yogurt) was a weird side quest in a dream of mine and now haunts my every waking moment. Greek yogurt with garlic & basil marinara sauce and a toasted “crust-crumble” swirled through it like cheesecake crumble gets put into ice cream sometimes. Mainly sold at carts in big American cities like hot dogs despite being spelled the British way. Standard pizza toppings can be mixed in but purists only accept the OG swirl (main plot point in the dream). Kinda want to try it to see if it actually works.

Unrealized Lil' Sweeties

Dream recipe for Lil' Sweeties

It came from a 50s style home and housekeeping magazine in a column:

"Looking to give a good friend of yours a good ribbing? Do you hate somebody and want them to pay for their existence? Then whip up a nice plate of Lil' Sweeties and let the fun begin!

Ingredients:

2 cups lard

1 cup sugar

1 package of cotton balls

Steps:

  1. Melt the lard in a pan saucepan

  2. When liquefied, mix in sugar, and stir until sugar is dissolved

  3. Throw in your cotton balls, and soak them in the mixture until completely saturated.

  4. Put the cotton balls in the freezer until solidified

  5. Plate and serve, preferably alongside a bowl of Jellywobbles ( a dish which was never explained in the dream).

And there you have it, a nice plate of Lil' Sweeties! Did you make these? You dumbass, this was a joke! Don't make these, you moron!"

They're some sort of fake confection that you give to your friends as a prank. I will attempt them someday.

I bought them at a grocery store in my dream. In the dream they were a limited release, and unfortunately they were stolen from me after putting the package down. They tasted a little berry like, but were still very good! It had sprinkles inside like this- which this image was on the packaging. On it, there was one ring shaped sprinkle for some reason.

Unrealized Spaghetti alla vodka alla caramel

Last night I dreamt of a dish of pasta with thick and creamy vodka sauce, topped with an even thicker caramel drizzle. In my dream I made it for myself as a shameful treat, and enjoyed it in front of the TV.

Typically you would have penne alla vodka, but I opted for spaghetti in the dream because the hollow penne noodles would be filled with caramel, which would disrupt the balanced taste.

I’m tempted to recreate this but am undecided, I’m not sure I’ve ever actually made a vodka sauce and wouldn’t want to disappoint myself…

Unrealized Sugar Cookie-Topped Oatmeal

A few nights ago, I had a dream where I was a restaurant with my family. At the restaurant, I ate a special bowl of oatmeal. It might have been the restaurant's signature dish, but I'm not sure.

The oatmeal was topped with a giant sugar cookie, which basically went all the way to the rim of the bowl. The oatmeal itself had a slight pinkish tint, but I can't remember if it was flavored in any way outside of the cookie on top. I remember liking it, and I woke up craving oatmeal.

Unrealized Cooked potato filled with cold grapes

I had a dream i went to Poland (i think) and stopped on the way to have a picknick with my family, one of them handed me a cooked, peeled potato which i happily bit into, only to find out it was hollowed out and filled with green grapes.

I woke up after this because it was so disgusting to me.

The grapes were quite large, and the “walls” of the potato were about a centimeter thick. The potato itself was medium size, like a fist.

Unrealized Applerotte Cookies

Had a dream I found this huge bulk bag of these cookies at a grocery store of applerotte cookies, which were cookies with apple and carrot flavored filling inside. The filling is soft and a slightly different texture than the outside of the cookie. The outside of the cookie was very thin. Sounds yummy

Unrealized The fruit of my dreams

Post image
109 Upvotes

I use my notes app on my phone as a dream journal of sorts, and almost two years ago I dreamt of these fruits. I just found this sub, so I thought I’d share them. They looked so sparkly and colorful and amazingly delicious. The pumpkins were like little sparkly galaxies, the corn had blackberries and raspberries in between the corn kernels, and the volley ball fruits were gorgeous looking and looked like exciting cantaloupes.

Unrealized Chunky Lasagna, sans pasta, sans meat

Recipe as performed in dream:

  • “Chop” tomatoes. Result should actually look like more like canned tomatoes. Don’t question this, it’s normal and unimportant. Layer on bottom of dish.

  • Dice onions, badly. They are much larger and more uneven than they should be. Know that your former boss would be disappointed in your lack of vegetable-chopping prowess. She taught you better. Sprinkle over tomato.

  • Add a splash of red wine. It might feel like too much, but it’s definitely what the recipe calls for. Probably. The tomatoes and onion are now swimming in a pool of red wine. Vaguely wonder if you should add more of other ingredients to fix that.

  • Dice cheese, badly. Sprinkle resulting chunks over dish. Try to cover up excessive red wine with it. Your boss didn’t have any opinions on cheese chopping, so you are obliged to simply be ashamed of yourself.

  • At no point consider pasta sheets or meat. Those are irrelevant. This needs more layers, but they aren’t going to be pasta or meat. Think about putting the dish in the oven.

  • Wake up. Acknowledge that the dish you did not make could not actually be defined as a lasagna. Have craving for lasagna.

  • Respond to a text from your parents. They invite you over for dinner. It’s lasagna.

Unrealized Weird way of apples?

Yesterday i had a dream where a new food trend was happening. It was apples, but cut into squares with the skin still on. And it was drenched in melted butter and sprinkled with cinnamon and i think sugar? I was so mad at the trend for some reason and i started screaming when i saw one of my friends in the dream make it. Today i will try to make it, do yall think it would taste good or no?

Unrealized spicy onion eggs

i cant remember what their name was in the dream but they were extremely finely sliced raw onions mixed with buffalo sauce to create a texture similar to buffalo chicken dip with crunch, but they contained no chicken. the onion filling was piped into hard boiled egg halves like deviled eggs, and they were sold in plastic trays in the sushi section. i remember buying them bc they were the only sushi left and trying to eat one and not liking it lol

Unrealized Cookie + milkshake?

Idk how to explain this, but i dreamt i was in some weird crossover of undertale, my little pony, and the owl house. In the dream, someone coated a chocolate chip cookie with some sort of blue milkshake (it was blue raspberry flavored iirc), and this food was an offensive gesture to sans and papyrus, which was apparently equivalent to saying a racial slur. My dream was very foggy, but it looked kind of good, so now im tempted to coat a cookie in milkshake to see how it tastes

Unrealized Shakshouka Pizza

I dreamt I made a feast with a bunch of different foods, one being this pizza. It was basically pizza dough with the shakshouka tomato base as the sauce and fried eggs served as the cheese. Honestly might try to recreate this. 🍳🍕
