I used graphite lead pencil to draw these two characters standing on a thin branch and training they belong to Indian culture

First time using prisma colored pencils! Anything I can improve?

I based it on Maurice Ravel’s musical rendition of a poem by Stephane Mallarme, Soupire (sigh). (Definitely would recommend giving it a listen!) Don’t hold back with criticism (just to clarify, the top of the sketch are supposed to be clouds opening up to a blue sky)

I’d normally draw in graphite but really fancied trying charcoal. Normally I’d draw deciduous trees but given the time of year I chose something a little more festive.

I only allowed 45 for this sketch in attempt to loosen up and let go of perfection. What are some ways you train yourself to loosen up?
