Question how to join the private subreddit

I've submitted a request and it's been under review for months. I messaged the mods like it said I could but still nothing. I'm just tired of some of these disgusting dms I've been getting and want to be apart of a higher knit community. is there anything else I can do to join the private subreddit or do I just have to keep waiting?

real. I requested and I have not been accepted. This is probably a coincidence but someone messaged me and now im skeptical whether it was bc of comments on this subreddit or another one

I pretty much only post in this subreddit so I can tell there's people who lurk here looking for vulnerable people. some of the things said are absolutely disgusting and have made me burst into tears.
